Greg is the best tuner there is. Period. I have had no less than 5 blowers and turbos on my car in the last 4 years. Greg tuned them all. I have been beating the shit out of my car for 4 years on the same shortblock. Pump gas, meth, and e85. I'm pushing over 900 wheel on a 2v!!!! Let me say that again... GREG TUNED MY 2VALVE TO 903whp!!! 21# on a single streetable turbo!! I run street and HALF mile racing. TUNING DEBATE IS DONE. Greg is a great guy. I went to him because I had problems with a local tuner. I drove my car 90 minutes to him and he had the problem fixed in 30 minutes. My car won't be touched by another tuner. I'm getting the itch for more power and Greg will be the one doing it. It's a NO BRAINER. There is always two sides to a story. Greg has always responded to my calls and emails and I will continue to go to him and stand above the rest on the street

I know exactly who you're talking about , and trust me that is a bogus story. As a matter of fact tell him Bryan said to stop lying and he'll back pedal like no tomorrow.

He doesnt build motors, for this exact reason people always blame the tuner

He didnt sell me a complete long block. He sold me a short block n he built it up from there n installed it. Come on get real. You cannot sell parts n do labor service with 0 responsibility or liability. Now that is Greg talking bs.

When u buy a car from your local dealer n something happens do you take it back to the manufacturer or the dealer? The dealer fixes the problem n gets the manufacturer to compensate them for their faulty part(s). Ever hear of a recall? Lol.

Gregs shop did alot more damage than not change the cam bolts. They didnt put all the bolts back in, criss threaded the ones they did put in, didnt use gaskets and reused worn out ones, used silicone instead of gaskets which caused coolant to leak into the lower intake n cylinders and didnt use the new parts n gaskets n bolts i provided.

"Yea sure hes not at any fault" = sarcasism!

Whos he gonna blame now for missing gaskets between parts that are not to do with the shortblock n tubes of silicone used?

Probably blame the imaginary "other shop"

But there is no excuse for this kind of BS in this industry, you get paid to do a job right do it right! If you cant do that then you should be prepared to take the shit storm you have coming.

In this business shit happens, whether your right or wrong and sometimes the company will take a loss. You always gotta take care of the customer especially when it was in your(companies) hands or you were paid to do a job. Thats what defines you as a good or bad place to do business with, how you handle the situation and take responsibility when it is your screw up. If you cant do that just look at what will happen to your reputation.

Well said!!!

There's way more to this story. I smell bs. Greg's shop does great work. I have seen nothing less. The car wouldn't just sit there unless there were parts needed or money needed from the customer. Story seems to have big holes

No holes n no bs! It will be proven in court and the BAR has notification of the issue now n they will put the hammer dosn on his unethical business actions.

He was paid in full before the issue happened!

Well op this thread got off track fast lol but fact I'd best tuner is matter of OPINION not fact. But for mods u have I'd use gtr because there won't be much difference in the tune so it's basically cost $500 vs $125 for the same thing. I'm not sure of prices for other shops but 125 is the cheapest I've heard

Exactly, people only post what they want, but when it comes down to the facts that is where they shut up. There will always be 2 stories, and whatever it is Greg is not that type of person.

Greg tuned my procharged 2001 bullitt.Even with all of my abuse and racing I had 200000 miles on it when I sold it 12lbs of boost 430hp 430 tq to the wheels no smoke no oil burn ran like a champ. Some motors hold together some don't. You can't blame the tuner for your motor letting go.Greg's tunes are safe and get you the most power. He's looking out for your best interest. When your on the dyno its a gamble.Russian rulet.Thats any dyno shop your pushing your car to get every last hp and tq out of it.Its hard on the car.Thats the risk you take.A lot of these guys with horror stories tell him to add more timing get more aggressive and then pop and its all the sudden his fault because you wanted to push the limit.I know I have a 2008 shelby gt500 with a kenne bell 3.6lc greg has already squeezed more power out of it and we 're going to get some more.I won't go to anyone else. He's a good honest dude. When your crying about price you have to remember. It's a business labor rates are high for good quality work this isn't pepboys its a speed shop. He"ll save you money where he can and if he thinks you dont need something he will let you know so you dont waste your money, but you have to remember he's like all of us we dont and wont work for free.If your car blows up at the drag strip or on road course you going to blame Greg for that too.Dynoing and racing no matter how you look at it is abuse on the vehicle. We re all hard on our vehicles. Its not if it will let go its when they will let go.They dont last forever get over it throw some more money at it and have fun.Quit blaming the tuner.

Thank you sir!!!
To add to this, Im sure most ppl have seen Stangfreak on here. He also has a stock long block GT with a kenne bell. Ask him who tuned him and how longs hes been running it. It runs low 11s and i think 7.00 in 1/8th.

There is way more to this story. The way your describing Greg is 100 % INACCURATE!! Showing everyone an invoice isnt going to prove much. We can all print out an "invoice".

Thanks Bryan for asking in a reasonable manor. Sure i can honestly answer that.

Its a long story but to summarize: it was an eaton swap with a forged shortblock. I paid for additional parts through ed that i didnt have or needed and when greg had time to get back on it when we had parts work would get done on it. Parts from ed were paid directly to him as thats how they do things there with 2 businesses sharing one shop.

Ed had a guy weld me eatons silencer holes up and said it wouldnt cause any damage but it did. We found out and ed n i worked out a compromise which i felt bad for ed to buy me a new posi ported polished sc. Im not an ass customer n felt bad for ed truely.

After that which took 6 months to work out n get a new non ported sc we got back on track.

He got it running but needed a clutch quadrant so i bought one throught ed. They instslled it n the next morning i get a call from greg that when "pulling it out of the shop he heard a noise". It was the cam bolt broken throught the valve cover. He told me it would be $1,000 in labor n to bring him all new parts or i needed to come pick it up that day or it was going out in the street.

Thats not cool or legal or ethical.

He never said sorry for breaking it and very doubtful that it broke like that. Either he was pushing it having fun test driving it or ???

If he would have said he will meet me half way even it all could have been worked out. Im a reasonable guy but i wont stand for being ripped off n taken advantage of. So now we will be going to court

You guys posting all these cars with great tunes me and what exactly? mmr has records they have beaten and I'm sure a long line of happy customers with amazing power and engines but that's not why they have a bad rep it's how they handle situations when things go wrong. Now it's true there are 2 sides to every story but u can't just say the man is wrong just because u haven't had a bad experience. I for one can say that carbon Drifter is a cool guy and a stand up business man and I seen his car and some of the pics and I believe him. It's hard to lie with pics
