In my opinion, the VMP Gen II TVS is the most power per dollar you can buy for the 5.0 engine. It's hard to beat that 2.3L, especially when you have a built engine and 6R80 auto. Just ask Rebecca Starkey.

She's been known to be a little jaded though ;)

Got a good condition used vortech local, all it was missing was the cooling mod kit. So I bought that, got some t bolt clamps, gates green belt, new plugs and ID1000 injectors. With all of that and an AED tune I will buy soon I'll be ~4500 into it.
I was planning on buying a roush blower but this seemed like a good deal and cheaper way to get some boost.

--Paxton SL2200
--Blower tuner kit, Tune, and ID1000s
--Bought a Kenne Bell BAP seperate as well as a home brewed "toruqe booster" wastegated setup with a Turbosmart 40mm gate from Summit.
--AEM digital boost pressure gauge, 305/35r19 NT05r tires, BMR LCAs, brackets, adjustable panhard bar, and sway bar relocaters.
--No numbers yet. Car is stupid fast.

Inital purchase of the blower package was a hair over $5k. I added the BAP and wastegate setup which added about $600. So im into the actual blower combo for an honest $5750 all said and done. I do all my own work so no labor $$ in that figure.

Drivability is great. I do not daily my car and will say that the constant BOV activity would drive me carzy if i did. It is always there... especially when you pulley down. Pretty annoying to me but i could see how a younger person would think its really cool. Very good attention getter. :)
Usually the ricers keep pinging their blow off valve like they have something to behold. I bet they totally ignore your car once they hear a v8 sporting what they think is a turbo. FI v8 is the business, you guys with over 600hp must destroy a lot of the competition. Sure there is someone faster, but it is not a common place.

Im surprised the kill section isnt full of stories from you guys, wtf!

Roush Phase 1. Great deal from AM. Will be running an 82mm pulley with stock air box and 47's. No BAP needed. Should settled in at 550-600rwhp. That's enough for me. May convert it to E85 this summer. Gotta love those A6 cars. No converter needed. 3.15 gear. No suspension mods needed either. I will be happy with 10.60-10.80s. Price? Let's just say it was cheaper than a centrifugal.

Haha so true. I get provoked by tons of cars you wouldnt expect. I had a guy in a brand new Chrysler 300c pull up next to me at a light and stand on it once it turned green beggin me to go. Good times.

There is always someone faster though like you said..........

REALLY fast. 150+ trap.

Awesome car right there.

Best bang for the buck? Absolutely no question, the On3 kit. Under 4K for the kit, add fuel and tune, other supporting parts as needed same as any other tuner kit out there. Base kit with 60mm turbos is 1000+ rwhp capable. Turns out the cheap way into boost can make a lot of power.

See sig. I wanted to keep a drivetrain warranty and wanted the paper work in getting my kits installed. The Mustang cost me $5300 for the Supercharger kit from AM, and $1600 labor to install. If you can get ROUSH to install these, they do them for about $1,000. Truck kit cost me $6200. Bought it from Lethal performance. What's cool about lethal is, you gather points when you buy from them. Points can then be turned in to get money off of future purchases. After buying the supercharger at a dicounted price, I ended up being able to get a boost gauge, pod, and a couple other small items for free. Labor on the truck is going to be closer to $1800 because there is some cutting and fabbing involved.

The Phase 1 2011-2014 Kits will put down about 490+ whp (575 crank). The Phase 2 ROUSH kit on the F150 will put down about 420whp (570 crank)

I went with TVS because I love that instant power. Many might think I am crazy for SCing both my vehicles AND paying Ford to install them, but, I have the money, it's a blast, and I didnt trust myself to install them

- What kit did you get? VMP TVS
- What options did you go for? STAGE III: Colder spark plugs, VMP 3x fan, ID 1000 injectors
- What extras did you have to add on? (Fuel components and tuning for example) JMS Boost a pump, AED Tuned corn fed
- What other supporting mods did you get? (Gauges, oil pump gears, etc.) Roush CAI
- Power numbers if it's not a secret! 674/570

7.5k for parts exclusive to blower. Won't reveal my install/tuning cost. Call AED up if you need a quote on the install/tune.

I lied. I think I payed a little less than that for my F150 kit. The 2014 requires an FEAD kit added as well, and the price I mentioned, I think, was including the FEAD kit.

I have been comparing the stage 2, to the new whipple 2.9. The new whipple does seem to make good power, but also seems a little light on peak torque. That being said, I don't ever really plan to put drag wheels/tires on my car, so I'm mostly looking for a kit that will be reliable for the next few years on the stock motor. I like that the VMP TVS has an 8 psi option, while I think the whipple kit is 10-11 psi at the lowest. The '15 GTs may be able to stand up to the higher power levels a bit better, but that's farther than I want to pouch my motor on 91 octane.

What's the discount code for SVTPerformance?

Armageddon's kit comes with ball bearing and water cooled turbos in the base price. This is a no expense spared kit when quality and performance is concerned. The price point of the base kit isn't for everyone, it's for those who want the best and can pay for it. All other Coyote twin turbo kits sacrifice parts choices using the bang for the buck theory.

It is a very nice kit, and when comparing to an optioned out Hellion kit, the price doesn't seem as crazy. I'd really have to figure out my long term plans for the car though. If I'm never going to build the motor and really turn the kit up, I feel like turbos might be overkill. If I keep the car after I leave Hawaii in a few years, hopefully I'll move somewhere near a drag strip and a road race course. I enjoyed doing both when I lived in AZ, so I'd like to keep this car a nice well rounded performer, regardless of what kit I choose.

Yeah, I saw that lethal has a points system now. I'm looking at the 2.9 whipple kit on their site, because they have a 10% off sale until April 10th I believe. I just wish there was more info about how these kits perform on the 11-14 5.0s, but I know they've been popular so far on the '15s.

Kit: JPC single 76 kit (base)
Add ons: JPC dual pump return system, id1000s, brisk plugs and JPC tune for e85
Above items ran me 8800.

Supporting stuff: Aluminator sb, full suspension, racestars 17/15, shaft masters d/s, spool, arb, rxt clutch

Only decent pass was on the stock motor bogging out of the hole 10.7@133.
No rwhp numbers, but it screams. I'm roughly 20k into the car as a whole excluding the 6r80 swap I'm getting underway.

I got the impression that Whipple hasn't actually released/shipped any kits yet for the 11-14 cars, hence no feedback. I think the Lethal site stated they would ship sometime in April.
