Maybe engine replacement was conditional, as in don't go on forums spouting off about anything.

He is likely out enjoying the car. A lot of folks mainly use forums to vent about negative things.

Sorry for the wait. I wanted to get some mileage on the car before I give any feedback about anything. I don't want to sound defensive but I did not abuse the car when it was brand-new. I never even came close to redline. Those of you that own or have driven the car know that you have to reprogram your brain to wait till redline. I was simply being honest in saying that I did get on it. By the way the warranty repair is still an open ticket. What does that mean? I'm not sure ? Maybe they're waiting for me to get enough miles on it until they close the ticket completely. The new motor was built by a different engine builder and I'm waiting for his name tags to put on the valve covers at this time. The Shelby mechanic told me that they did a open tune while driving the vehicle. it honestly feels faster in there is a definite surge in power out about 3800 RPM I never felt before. I'm going to just rack up some miles in see how things work out. Thanks for your help and input.

We both know that's not the case. I was doing a good job of keeping my mouth shut hoping you'd just say thanks to Ford for doing the right thing and getting you taken care of so quickly. You know exactly why the motor went. It's all good. You're supposed to drive the car. Just don't act like you don't know what happened.

Sorry. Not trying to be a jerk. It just bugs me when people try to pass blame when they really know what happened. This whole thread was totally unnecessary.

Do you personally know him and witnessed all 120 miles of his driving?

Do you have have first hand knowledge it was a mis-shift that caused the issue?

I'll let him answer those questions. No I don't know the owner personally but I know people who do, how they saw him drive and I know what the owner has told them and another party about when the failure happened. Again, I'm not out to bully anyone I just don't want it to seem like this was 100% due to a faulty motor. Not saying I have knowledge that these motors are bulletproof either just that I know the OPs motor had some help failing by user error. I have nothing to gain from this. I only want to subside the thoughts that there is a problem with these motors.

Why don't you just say who you are. Because honestly I don't know anybody in the metroplex that is affiliated with Ford or mustangs. My email address is open to anybody that wants to contact me. I'm not making up anything! In case your ADD kicks in and you can't count on one hand Page 3 I gave props to Ford and how fast they replaced the motor in the customer service was excellent. Let me guess on your lower back you have a tattoo that says " BUILT FORD TUFF ". Your more butt hurt than I am and I paid way over list !! You really think I missed a shift? Are you really that proud of Ford ? There's is a reason why I have the only crate motor in the USA. This is turned into slander and finger-pointing. Not what I wanted.

Certainly comes across that way but,...........

KW has been a member here for 8yrs, plenty of posts gives him/her a tad more credibility than Harley who joined just to create this thread. Just another thought

I do very much apologize if I'm coming across to be a jerk. That is not the attitude I'm attempting to portray. My frustration finally got the better of me. I have close friends from top to bottom who have worked VERY hard to help get the OP back on the road. They are doing a good job of being professional but I felt the need to voice my concern.

I know that you gave props to Ford for replacing your motor quickly. You've also contradicted yourself a couple times. I apologize if I have information incorrect but I have VERY reliable sources that told me that you drove the car VERY hard. (Like you said yourself on Page 1). I also heard from two different sources that YOU said when the failure happened you were at WOT in 3 and went into 2nd instead of 4th. Maybe that's not the case.

All I know is there seems to be 2 sides to this story.

From what I know, I feel like this failure was very likely due to user error. Maybe not.

Where do people come up with these stories ? Why dont you start at the beginning. I said You know it doesn't matter. So you no somebody that knows somebody that worked on my car ? This is why I didn't want to post about what I heard about these motors ! Because its second hand information that always gets changed around. I didn't conderdict my self. I always claimed that I got on it. That's a big deference than banging the rev limiter in every gear or dumping the clutch. Your the only one that contradicted yourself when you said I didn't say thanks to Ford and customer service but now you say I did ? I was looking for some help.not a pissing match and by the way you weren't there.

I never said you didn't say thanks. I was hoping you would JUST say thanks to Ford and not continue the stance that there was something wrong with the motor and that you did nothing wrong.

Continuing to go back and forth wont resolve anything. Glad you're back in the car.

So this guy should just own an automatic Corolla instead of a manual-trans performance car?
Mis-shifting from 3rd to 2nd when WOT?
Was that the claim that he didn't even touch on in his rambling response?
