Exactly. Paid to work/entertain. They are typically approached for opinions by people, magazines, reporters etc.. all the time. Athletes are actually instructed how to handle this but some are not the brightest individuals and should learn to zip it. sometimes they inadvertently hurt themselves with comments innocently.

However, If they go out of their way to share their political stance, it screams "my career is pure shit and shambles and I'm desperately in need of some spotlight!"
