You can ask whatever you want- it all depends what people will pay.

All my cars have 'crazy number' on them. If anyone showed up to pay that, why not do it?

Those cars will continue to appreciate. That asking price is high but I'm sure he'll get a good chunk of change for it. BST Supras have been bringing a ton of money and a low mile stock example should as well.

That one guy with money that is feeling nostalgic about his childhood and wanting his dream car will eventually buy it. Prices for all the early 90's flagship cars is rising. Just a couple years ago when I sold my FD prices were around $12k for a decent one, now I am seeing them in worse shape selling for $16k and people actually buying them. Really nice ones are going for $30k+ and the Supra held its value better. The NSX is another car that is going way up there in price $40k for 100k miles in decent running shape, there is also one listed at $169k on ebay.

Steep price, but what a good looking Supra. It will likely get re-listed, and it will be interesting to see if the price changes.

Funny you posted that, i saw that auction a long time ago when I was looking at a couple A/C cobra kit cars from that same seller on Ebay. Like deep into last year long. No one is buying it.

That company has some really nice cars, but their prices on everything are insane. One of the Cobra kit cars I was looking at was beautiful, but was about $20,000 overpriced. I offered them a cash in person deal when I called them and they declined. Low and behold, that same Cobra is also still available.

not at my post...
I remember finding an immaculate 93 Supra with 16K miles for 23K back in the fall of 2000. I was trying to work a deal, banks at that time didn't like financing 7 year old cars...car got sold in short order.

I get the supra is a cool car and all but I never understood why they're so expensive nowadays. Shit for 85k you could buy a 2014 GTR.

Almost bought a 1997 Jade Green 15th Anniversary car in 03 with 21000 miles. Asking price was 27k. I bought a new STI instead because I wanted a brand new car. Smart decision.

When a buddy of mine sold an MSB 93 6spd for near 50k I couldn't believe it. Then I checked prices... I am kind of blown away they have held value this long. Someone near my job has what looks like a bone stock 97 6spd parked outside. Maybe it's their 401k on wheels...

There have been a number of clean, relatively stock supras that have sold for north of $70-$80k, but typically only the rare color combos. Red is usually the least desired so I agree that price is quite high.

Very little doubt in my mind that clean examples will continue to rise... especially when all the 90's/00's babies start building their careers and have money to spend! Nothing gives me the same feeling as when I drive mine :)
