Can't upload a pic...decided tonight was range night. Put 170 rounds through the shield (hopefully it loosens up some more), 30 through the G19, and 300 through the AR556. The addition of the Magpul handgauard to the AR made a huge difference in being able to shoot the weapon. The stock guards don't have a heat shield and after 60 rounds it's damn near impossible to hold. But the magpul has a heat shield and all 300 rounds it was comfortable.

Got my rifle back from Rifle Dynamics painted in the correct color. Slapped together an M&P 15-22 with a BCM NIB trigger pack and magpul furniture. Got my SBR stamp in and slapped together a Scorpion EVO pistol
I assume you did an eform1 for the SBR? What was your control number if you don't mind me asking?

LOL. I have a feeling that you might be right. I don't see me selling the Shield because it's a limited edition Performance Center piece. But time will tell. :)

Can I ask how much you paid for your VP9 Tactical? I'm pretty sure that's what my friend carries as his duty pistol. He's a local cop.
Around $630 or so. I love the way it shoots. When you take yours to the range, be prepared for multiple requests to look at and discuss.

I'm thinking the VP9sk will be my next gun. I've got a USP9 and USP45. They are great guns, although the grips are a little big. This may be my newest favorite after I can hopefully try it out this weekend.

We are cut from the same cloth.
I love my HK's. To me they are better than sigs especially when cleaning them. I prefer them to almost anything else especially the shields.
The pistol I am saving for now is a smith and Wesson .45 acp performance center 1911 in the 4.25 barrel.
As odd as this will sound, the Sig 1911s that I have are in the top 10 of my pistol collection as far as shooting enjoyment. I have 1911s from Kimber, SA, S&W, and Colt, but I shoot the Sig 1911s the best. I have been tempted to buy a Performance Center S&W 1911 at Green Top, but everytime I go in, Im on cruise control to the Sig and HK section there on the left. That always ends up with something from New Hampshire.

Took my HK VP9SK to the range on Friday along with my S&W Performance Center Shield. As I expected, I was more accurate with the HK at both 20' and 30'. Lesser recoil and easier to sight (white 3-dot photoluminescent dot on the HK vs. orange/green HI-VIZ® Fiber Optic for the Shield. Can't wait to get back to the range.

Funny story, or not-so-funny story. While I was at the range Friday I was talking to the range officer after I finished shooting. He was showing me the new monitoring setup that show all of the shooting stations in separate windows. Suddenly he yells, "got to go" and off he went into the shooting area. I noticed on the monitor what he was concerned about. Some woman around 50 years old who was shooting must have dropped something that rolled on the floor to the booth on her left, where a guy was shooting. She was on all fours crawling to her left and was literally crawling under his shooting arm as he was shooting. OMG! I didn't stay to see what the outcome was, but I'm guessing she either got a stern warning or was asked to leave. What the heck was she thinking?

I am not certain how I would have reacted (if I were the shooter) lol. Maybe stop and ask her if she needs a flashlight? Crazy world.

People are stupid... I've had guns pointed at me at public ranges from first time shooters... Idiots who have zero firearm knowledge and turn with it in their hands. You can never know about strangers.

Don't underestimate the stupid in this world, and always look out for others when you shoot. It's kind of like driving, you should always drive defensively.

One of my new C&R's. Ridiculous mint, matching M1935 7mm Oberndorf Brazilian Mauser. Prime example of a South American Contract Mauser. Have the matching bayonet serial to the gun also.

Just curious. How do you like the grip on the Shield compared to your G19? Or did you modify the Shield grip.
