Hi guys! So I wanted to share one of the most exciting things we have ever done to one our cars. We finally installed a supercharger on our 2016 Mustang GT. Check out the video below and reply back with any questions. The kit was very straight forward to install and we had no problems and immediately drove to Myrtle Beach SC for Mustang Week 2017 the morning after installing the kit.

It is finally that time! Whipple supercharger install on Ashley's 2016 Mustang GT. The kit is a Whipple 2.9L Stage 2 Kit with 132mm throttle body, 72LB Injectors, whipple tune, and larger exchanger. https://whipplesuperchargers.com/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=368

What are you guys doing for fuel in these s550s? I see a lot of people making big numbers in these cars.

Is that 825 whp?

825 crank HP is what whipple states. With 15% drivetrain loss that comes out to 700rwhp which is what this setup usually makes on pump gas at sea level. I will be putting it on the dyno soon to find out.

Just pump gas 93 Octane. Fuel injectors are 72LB and stock pump. The whipple tune is able to boost fuel pump voltage without the need of an external booster but if we go to aftermarket tuning via HP Tuners or SCT a fuel pump booster will be required.

What 1/4 mile times should a full weight 6spd auto S550 run with this exact setup?

I would expect a mid to high 10 @ 130 MPH at sea level on pump gas full weight stock converter in fair weather. I'm sure someone in here can post some times with a auto s550.

Auto s550 whipple stage 2 kit with some suspension, converter, and custom tune can see much faster times. The time above is just my estimated guess based on power, weight, and average conditions.

We were hearing that it wasn't working well. But we have the full video up now and we have a bunch more videos coming on the whipple S550!
