Its fun man, just stick with it.

Game just came out, give it a chance.

I will.

Yesterday when I played, I put down the 7th fastest lap at Dubai...Granted this was at noon.

It was a 1:42.XXX. I think the guy who put down the fastest lap was already a 1:30.XXX.

I didn't get anything fancy. I just went with the Thrustmaster VG TX and the Openwheeler cockpit.

I really wanted a Fanatec, but couldn't justify the price difference.

EDIT: I just justified it. Ordere dthe Fanatec.

Worth every penny of that price difference. I have the TX, buddy has the fanatec. Mine feels like a chucky cheese toy compared

These racing wheels have gotten expensive over the years. The last one I had was for Forza and I believe it was 200 bucks. This was about 4 or 5 years ago. It got the job done.

Hell, some of them are ridiculous.

I'll have about $1k in the whole setup when it's all said and done.

Well I looked at it online and looks like a very impressive setup for sure. I'm bet a lot of fun will be had with it. I would have gone the same route with same two choices.

It just makes me wonder what sort of setup Treynor has. I remember seeing a vid of him in his and I'm willing wager it is pretty nice. I didn't pay much attention to it at the time.

Don't forget to change your handbrake/clutch buttons, if your used to the clutch being A. I ran the first two championships, countless amount of laps grinding every gear.

Got that squared away, and I've been setting some top 100 laps without changing the homologation or tuning.

The homologation is hate it or love it. I took 1 car to stock and could change a few parts while staying in spec. No where near jumping classes like in previous games but still I can appreciate it being different. I see them implementing open modded lobbies/leagues though based on the feedback.

Also pretty cool, the special car dealer cars you buy come with a production number and date. I can see low numbered cars selling for more on the AH.

Considering it will be 2 years before we see another Forza, I'm willing to stick it through and see what shakes out.

I played more last night. I'm not a fan of how you have to buy cars 'in order'...but the gameplay is awesome. I can't wait to use my wheel next week, instead of a controller.

Yeah, yeah that was about what my 200 dollar setup was like........;)

Treynor knows how to do things right is all I can say.

I can't imagine lol I'd have to take out a second mortgage to pay for a $70k 'video game'.

Gameplay is awesome.
The car buying ranking is completely idiotic. Hopefully it's the only forza game with it.
Are we starting a SVTP club?

Are they actually accepting returns? I’m not a fan of most of what people are already complaining about. I have played since the original on Xbox and honestly do not like this game. What is the point of paying to be a VIP when the credit boost is only temporary?

Locking cars making them unavailable for purchase and forcing you to buy others to unlock another tier? Absolutely stupid. They gushed about how many cars were available at launch but technically it’s false and they cannot all be bought when you so desire. Some can only be bought at certain times that Turn 10 decides even when unlocking a new tier.

Well I get the purpose of the locking the cars to an extent. Are they locking them out so you experience the car levels progressively? Does it start you out with the slower cars and builds you up to the faster ones?

Even when unlocking a new tier there are several cars you cannot purchase that remain locked. I’m up to tier 4 or 5 and can think of atleast 15 cars I want and can not purchase including lower tiers.

Yeah I guess that's fair. At collection level 1 you get old muscle cars, hatches, etc. I think there are 8 or 9 collection levels in total, with every car becoming purchasebale after level 5 I believe. In reality its a small hurdle, because after 5 you can buy anything. Collection level really just dictate the quality of rewards you receive, each level, after 5.

Every time you level, you get a choice of currency, a car, or a driver suit. Every collection level you advance the reward choices should become better.

They are. I read this morning that Microsoft has taken so much flak and is getting so many requests for refunds that they are planning a patch to revert the VIP credit system back to what it was with 5 and 6. I think the damage is done though.
