Switching to e85 was one of the best mods I've done.

As far as having to change oil more frequently, if running a good quality synthetic oil you shouldn't have to. I run Amsoil ss 10w30 and change oil once a year. But I only put about 800-1000 miles a year. Hopefully more this year.

I also change oil once a year and put about 2k on it. I sent a sample in this last change and there was less than 1% fuel dilution. You could definitely smell the fuel in the oil and expected the dilution to be greater. I also run ams oil 5w30.

In the marauder we went from consistent 1.54 60's to 1.45 60's with just the fuel change from VP MS103 race gas. Timing curve the same. I'm estimating 750 rwhp thru a 4r70w with a 3.4 whipple at about 24psi. I run a big external pump and Injector Dynamics 1300 -8 feed -6 return.

I built another marauder with a YSi at 26 psi with 1300 ID's and Aeromotive Eliminator pump it makes between 750 and 800. Runs 10.0's at 4400lbs.

I fill up 2, 30 gallon drums when I go to the station and stabilize it with lucas e85 treatment. I test it before I fill like GNBrett. But if its just gonna be cruised in the summer I don't test. The drums are basically fuel for racing in the late fall and early spring. And the 30 gallon drums are easier to handle full. I have an Excursion so they fit in the back of that too.

Where are you getting 30 gallon drums? I've looked for steel 30 gal. drums but haven't had any luck. I've even called our bulk oil supplier asking for some and they told me they don't have any or know where to get them. Its either plastic 30 gallon or steel 55 gallon.

I ran royal purple hps 5w30 previously and I could smell the ethanol in the oil. Now running the Amsoil 10w30 I don't smell it.

Your comment made me laugh . When we were talking about how to get the full 55g drum off the truck and now you’re looking for a smaller one. Just found it humorous is all, carry on.

It has more to do with garage space than anything. I have a 2 car garage with a center divider between the two doors, a 55 gallon drum is to wide to sit behind the center divider between my two cars. This means my drum is at the front of my garage and when I want to fill my Cobra I have to pump it into 5 gallon cans in order to fill my car. If I had a container that was narrow enough to fit right behind the center divider in my garage it would be right next to the filler neck on my Cobra. Then I could fill the car straight from the pump in my drum.

I won't be happy about losing capacity though in my drum.

Gotcha makes sense. I need a bigger garage too.

Okay so sounds like pullying down and tune and should be good to go for 700rwhp.

I'm in Chicago land area and Tim Barth is local seems to have a good name.

Anyone else??

Well with talking to Malcom it looks like I would need twin 465 pumps to make 700 ish. Not looking to tear car apart at the moment as spring is just starting here... Hopefully soon I can make the switch.

Mike Post in Hampshire is a very good tuner as well. I’ve taken 2 mustang to him.

Deans performance in st.charles has kurgan remote tune from their dyno.

I checked with Mike Post before Tim tuned mine, and he said Tim provides him the data/info for tuning.

You will have to seek medical attention for the 4 hour erection after driving the car on E85....seriously :)
It's night and day as said before. You won't want to go back to 93 after hitting it once on E85. Gas mileage be damned. It's cheaper than 87 by 60-80 cents a gallon where I am. Well worth it.

I just set my car up for deadhead return and started her up on E85 for the first time tonight! I have 04sleeper remote tuning my car. It’s smells soooo good and I hope it runs as good as it smells!

Just wait. He adds all the timing in right at the end. You’ll be shocked.

Call me weird and crazy, but I can’t stand the smell of E85. Just smells like rotten veggies to me. ‍♂️

Where are you guys getting your 55 gal drums? Do you have any fume issues? What pump do you use for the tank?
Im going to go this route as there is only 1 or 2 stations on my area, both about 45 min away
