isn't a '15+ short block like $2300 from Tasca? Should handle 800.
I see one from american muscle for around 5900 Ford Performance Mustang 5.0L Coyote Aluminator N/A Short Block - 11.0:1 Ratio M-6009-A50NAA - Free Shipping, and one from Levitown ford parts for like 5400 Ford Racing 5.0L Coyote Aluminator NA Short Block (Part No: M-6009-A50NA), I looked up short block from tasca, and seen a bare block for around 1800.isn't a '15+ short block like $2300 from Tasca? I went with an Aluminator longblock, right before the switch Gen 2 Coyotes. Got in while they could be had for $7,500 and sold my stock engine with 8,000 miles on it for $4,000. All said and done I had about $4000 in my swap. This is my 4th year with it, making as little as 710 rwhp and now in the mid/upper 800's as I've added more boost from last year.
Mine is 99% street. It's turned up all the time. Sees weekend use. Gets wot every time I'm in it, but it's mostly a second gear pull.
I am currently saving for a replacement. Just to have at the ready if/when something happens. I don't plan to go further than here though, so who knows, maybe it has a long life ahead of it? I just wanna be prepared in case it does come apart.
Is that what you're running, or are you still on your factory 2013 engine?call Tasca you can buy a '15 short block and there is none listed on the site.
how do you like it, how were they to deal with? Lotsa horror stories floating the web about them, but realize how quickly bs can spread.
Haha no, i upgraded my motor... stock motor was 9.91@144 through mt82 with about 800 wheel.8.3@167 with only 825 wheel, what's your car weigh 2500? That's friggin flying my friend!
I'm still on stock longblock. Just switched to E85 so should be around 725whp. We'll see if she holds. Is that what you're running, or are you still on your factory 2013 engine?
what power adder? if turbo you'll be fine. if tvs, you will be pushing it, bigger whipple pushing it a bit more.. haha A good tune, will go a LONG wayI'm still on stock longblock. Just switched to E85 so should be around 725whp. We'll see if she holds.

If you haven’t yet, do your OPGs and crank sprocket. Don’t make the mistake I did and be lazy.I'm still on stock longblock. Just switched to E85 so should be around 725whp. We'll see if she holds.
How much did it run you?I have a Livernois 1000hp short block in my 12 car and it has 800 to the tires. The engine has been in since 2012 and so far is doing great. It sees almost no street time "maybe 500 miles per year" and a few track outings each year. The car only has 14k total and runs 9.40s at 145 to 149 with 1.37 60s. Livernois says they have cars pushing much more power than me with this engine.
I'd agree that a forged bottom would be good for you, but that would buy you another 200whp, or at least another 150 without the cost of a sleeved set-up.I went with a 2017blong block with opgs amd cs. It put my mind at ease at the 700/630 im making now, but wouldnt you know it, im at the point where i again want more and to do that safely, i think i need a built sleeved block. I will most likely go with whatever builder runs the best deals during a cyber monday or memorial day blowout.
