I have no intentions of selling my Mystichrome vert... ever! It is a virgin car with only 4400 miles and it looks like it just rolled off the assembly line. If someone were to throw $50k at me, I’d have to think long and hard about it. Low mile unmolested pristine examples will continue to tick upwards in value. $50k may seem a little high now, but just wait 10 years!

Hmmm

Like someone said they would use the money to just buy another one.....

I love mine as it is mine. I bought her new and have had each other through rough times and good times and in times where i even had to sleep in her a few times. My Cobra and I have been through different GF's and break ups and she is the girl that still loves me and never left me and I never found Cheating on me when I came home early from work. I don't think I could leave her either.

During the recession I was really struggling to make my house payments. I came close to selling and even listed once and couldn't do it.

You're right tho. Everything has a price. Someone would literally have to move my hand for me to sign the title over.

My price.??? I honestly don't know and thank god I am not in a position now where I would have to name a price.

My uncle had a prize 68 Plymouth GTX. He always said and he would swear that he would never sell it and keep it in the family. Then his wife fell ill with Cancer and the car went.... I wish at that time I was a position I could have bought it from him. He let it go for 40k and it went to a place that listed it for 90k.

If a situation like that came up for me. That would be my price. I would want something else more than I would want the Cobra.

30K with both magnum and 6r80 transmissions. Get me a 62-64 nova with a BB and suspension. Not yet though I sill need a couple more years with my DSG cobra.

But what Goose17 mentioned is true. The value is something on these. I Could probably find a 2015 gt to even trade with. And in 10 years what will that 2015 gt be worth?

Brad and Bob, I see you guys as living in reality at this point.

I would love to get between 40 and 50 for mine. And they would definitely be sold at those prices. However, realistically I think I would let my coupe go for 30 and my vert I would let go for around 25.

I do think those numbers are on the high side, but not beyond the realm of possibility.

And I do agree everything has a price. Great thread OP.

In all honesty if someone offered me anything over 30k I'd have a hard time saying no. The only thing that would really stop me is that I'd end up with another one and have to start over.
The way I see it if I sell it I’ll loose way to much money. So financially it doesn’t make sense. I’ll keep it and it will probably turn it into a full race car at some point but who knows. It was parked next to a new GT350R the other day and as much attention the car got it was like there was a Prius next to me lol.....just something about Terminators there’s people that are happy with them and people that regret selling them i think I’ll stay happy.

I've had that happen as well. I go to a meet around here once in awhile that's mostly imports. People always freak out when I pull in. I've drawn stares from people standing by GTR's. And it was dark and people couldn't see the paint very well either.

I sold a 4700 mile MC vert in February and then bought this coupe in May. More than likely, if I sold this car, I would just end up buying another and right now, it's hard to find a MC coupe and when you do, people want to charge $45K:

2004 Ford Mustang | Vanguard Motor Sales

Even to buy back my old vert would be expensive ($37K):
2004 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra Convertible Mystichrome Carol Stream IL 23231431

Now, if circumstances dictated it (finances, illness, etc.), I would sell it and hope to get at least $30K

I don't plan to sell my MC anytime soon. However, I'd probably let it go if someone came up to me with $35k.

Honesty the car owes me nothing. Sitting in the garage with the battery tender on. When I get bored I take the cover off of her and laugh. Its such a bad ass car just to look at, never mind drive. That being said I sold it 4 years ago and we lucky enough to get her back. Trust me I learned my lesson never to sell her again!!!
Sitting on jack stands with 20,000 miles, top of the line Mods making 625/585

Actually going to fire her up Saturday. First time in 1.5 years. Wash, Wax and Inspection sticker. Kinda excided!!

I don't have any debt to my name, have a kid, and a house already so most of lifes common hurdles are done with. That means if I sold this car id probably buy another one again so selling for near market value doesnt make sense. Id really need 40k+ before id consider it as it would cost way more to build another like this.

Now if my life changes (divorce/illness) i may come back to reality.

If I had to put a price on mine, I would let it go for $32k. That's if someone cam along and was like "I have to have it". I don't plan on listing it for sale or anything for now, as I love the car, and have always wanted one since they were new. Now it's modded and just how I want it. But I really have the itch for a '12/'13/'14 GT500. We are building a house and have another we are renting for now, so when that is said and done I will probably move on and find my perfect Shelby.

$30K-$35K probably would do it. As much as I love the car the Terminator engine just has too many down falls to progress any further.

It seems a lot of owners are saying that "Right now" their going price is low to mid 30's (a few in the 40 to 50 range). I personally think low to mid 30's is a great range for these cars today (However, you won't see that sentiment in the market place LOL). In 10 years we "may" see pristine models go for up to 50. I can see that happening too.

I hope these cars start to climb in value. I don't plan on selling my Cobra's, but it would be nice to know that if I had to I could get a return on my financial investment and enjoyment experience values.

i be happy with getting half back.
didn’t put anything into it. and drove the hell out of it.
paid cash new and saved thousands on insurance
but as crazy as it sounds. these have held value over the years when most threads said they wouldn’t
which now makes me wonder what 10 more years will do.

If I needed to sell my car I would list it for 26K with mods and 23K mostly stock. Since it is currently not for sell, someone would have to offer 31K for it. We are scheduled to break ground tomorrow on our new house and selling the cobra has crossed my mind. I've discussed this with my wife and she says no.

I still do not understand how I get more attention in my OW cobra then my Teal 93 cobra.

Paid $14k for my salvage title, 30k mi 04' coupe back in 2013. Has 50k now (and maintained), and I wouldn't let it go for less than 15k

I'm realistic about my car. While it is a Mystichrome it does have a lot of miles. Most people on here wouldn't have given it a second look. For me the mileage is a good thing. I don't worry about driving it and putting the miles on it.

I am assuming the attention pertains to the performance of your Terminator. When I’m out in my Teal 93, no one is trying to race me or yelling for me to hammer on it. They just smile, wave and give a thumbs-up. I can spot Mustang fans when out in my 93... they get jazzed-up seeing a 93 Cobra out-and-about.
