good point...but im not looking for the "best" price, just the best price for me. there are times id happily pay a premium to avoid the hassle associated with certain purchasesThe cold hard truth is that without meaningful interaction with the customer, there is no incentive for the dealer to go through the work to generate the number you are looking for. A successful transaction is a 2 way street. I will say, as a guy who has bought my fair share, if I am not having fun with the purchase, why buy from that particular dealer?
I used to have customers come in and absolutely refuse to provide any information about themselves and say give me your bottom on that truck, I always wondered how they thought that approach would accomplish anything. The managers would never give them the "best" price.
