For as much as I hear this, I was shocked at how many fat ugly people I saw last time I was in LA.Curious how you would know this since you live in "paradise", and apparently never leave? I hate Kalifornia, but there are a shit ton of hot women there.
You seem very sensitive about where you live.
I go to california and az quite often, what they certainly do have better is car culture.Curious how you would know this since you live in "paradise", and apparently never leave? I hate Kalifornia, but there are a shit ton of hot women there.

A lot of people that refuse to travel do so out of ignorance. It's one of the less desirable traits Americans are known for.I almost find it hard to grasp how someone would not want to go to Europe.
I had a group of people in Chicago, no joke, tell me that didn't want to visit Arizona because they don't like all of the sand. I'm sure the same people think you live in an igloo, work as a lumberjack, and ride a moose to get there.Reason I am defensive? The blatant ignorance of lumping canada in one shitty place of only liberals and igloos is insane.
This is pretty ignorant.Actually...you're wrong. American has the stereotype of being set in their ways and not liking change. There's a reason so few Americans have a passport. I live in FL and work in the tourism industry. I see it all the time. It's often southerners. They are all of 4-8 hours from their house, and bitch about "we should have just stayed home" or "I forgot we ain't in the south no more" or "This just ain't right" because something isn't 100% exactly as they have it in their city and even "I don't know why we even came here" because sweet tea wasn't a drink option in a high end steak house.
Those folks don't need to visit Rome, London or Paris and give us a bad name.
Lol chicago... Never said I didnt ride a moose to work... Brb gotta go cut some holes in the ice and club some seals.I had a group of people in Chicago, no joke, tell me that didn't want to visit Arizona because they don't like all of the sand. I'm sure the same people think you live in an igloo, work as a lumberjack, and ride a moose to get there.

The women never cease to amaze me in those places. They are 99% all ugly disgusting creatures, you see all the hot photos of them on social media but it isnt reality at all, I was in scottsdale at the college bars last year and there was nothing... The place youd think is rolling in hot girls... Reason I am defensive? The blatant ignorance of lumping canada in one shitty place of only liberals and igloos is insane.
Dont call me defensive about where I live, you mericans are the pinnacle of defensive about your country lol
This is pretty ignorant.
First, unlike a European, the typical American can travel a thousand or more miles before needing a passport. European countries are smaller than most American counties and states.
Second, because of the size of the US, geographically we have everything you could want and need. Live in Ohio and want to see the ocean? You can go to Florida or California. Unlike someone in Switzerland who'd have to "travel to another country" and go to Spain or Italy.
Same for tropics, you can always go to Hawaii or the Keys. Want frozen vast wilderness? Michigan, Montana and Alaska. Mountains, deserts, open plains, mega cities, small towns, lakes, rivers, historic sites, art, museums.. It can all be experienced domestically..and typically better and cheaper then elsewhere.
As for being disappointed, that's expected. You think a great tourist spot is amazing because of all the pictures and stories... And you realize it's a crowed overpriced shitty tourist trap. *cough* mustang week *cough*
Show me where I lumped all women in america in one category.... Big difference is I speak from what I have seen with my own eyes. You all think I live in a frozen tundra, but feel free to maintain ignorance, i'm proud of where I am, just like you all are proud of America. Politics asideBitches about people lumping all of canada into one stereotype.....lumps 99% of women in places in America into one category. Pure gold.
Are there unattractive women in California? Of course there are. Nobody said there aren't. But considering I don't know anyone who's visited there that doesn't completely disagree with your assessment, I think you might be overestimating the quantity just a bit.
I'll call you defensive as long as you continue to act that way.
I will admit I totally derailed this thread in a firey fasion though.
Guilty as charged!
There's a golf cart tour I took in Rome on my last visit that was the highlight of my time there. The locals run it and show you so much you'd otherwise miss. The owner did our tour and The dude was a riot too. The carts are quicker to get around too. I never do touristy stuff like that but I was with sobering that was immobile and I'm glad I did that particular one. If your interested I can forward the info.Heading to Italy for 10 nights in mid-May. Very excited to experience the food and culture.
We are starting in Rome (3 nights), Orvieto (1 night), Florence (3 nights) and Venice (2 nights).

Nope.
Travel distance has nothing to do with Americans not wanting to leave their home country.
Except history over 200 years, varying cultures, ancient architecture, etc.
Again...I said Americans are set in their ways and don't want change.
What happens from a family from IA goes to FL? They hear the same language, use the same currency, have some of the exact same restaurant chains, etc. 95% of things are all the same, except they trade corn fields for sandy beaches.
That's what Americans want, 95% the same.
They don't want to deal with a language they don't understand.
They don't want to have to deal with public transportation in Madrid when the only thing close they have ever taken was a school bus.
They don't want to drive unknown cuisines.
I've heard of families leaving a restaurant because the place didn't have chicken nuggets or mac and cheese.
They want their cell phone to have signal. They want everyone to take their debit card.
They want their normal life, with a splash of beauty/relaxing.
Call it culture shock if you want, but Americans hate it.
I absolutely love it. It's like a drug to me. Exploring the street of Ho Chi Minh City or Marrakesh, I feel like an exploring in another world, just taking in all the sights and enjoying every second.
IAmerica's love for NOT wanting change is the reason Time Square has an Olive Garden.

Actually it does, as you say in a minute. A guy going from IA to FL is traveling stupid far.. And he doesn't need a passport despite that. A guy going from Copenhagen to Amsterdam needs a passport despite being able to drive it in an afternoon.
A European NEEDS a passport to to do a day's travel, an American does not.
Kinda like going from Paris to London.
