I'm still blown away that this argument can even take place. These options at dealerships was unfathomable not that long ago.

Everything I have posted here is fact. No trolling.
This sounds like opinion, not fact. Just sayin.time will tell if the Redeye continues to be on top. I doubt that more updates in tuning will turn things around for the 500.

"To clear things up: We ran each car separately at our test track (off camera) with the same driver and better weather conditions and got the results you see at the end of the video. Do you think the outcome would change on a prepped surface and if each car had drag radials?"
GT500: 11.3 @ 130.7 MPH
RedEye: 11.7 @ 127.0 MPH
ZL1: 11.6 @ 122.4 MPH
While this is unprepped, that makes it even more realistic as 95% of people messing around are on the street. GT500 trap speed is dragging the RedEye down the highway 10 times out of 10. Also lets remember the RedEye is essentially a drag car, whereas the GT500 is essentially a road course car(on par with GT3RS). The ZL1, well, maybe it would have a good run with a bolt on 18+ 5.0?
This is for the morons around here stating they "haven't seen the GT500 win anything yet". Maybe an apples to apples comparison is what you should be looking fo
Not even close to apples to apples test; I say this longing for the 500 but for base models with autos the Dodge weighs 400+ lbs more, 43 less HP, $11K less for non wide body and you expected it to win? And the ZL! weighs the same, 110 HP less, $8500 less and you expected a different result? So you can call me a moron with oranges to compare.
Look once again.... objective data.

Compare the mods for each and the times, then tell me which one is on top.

Of those two cars the Dodge is faster. Saying “you doubt the updates in tuning will turn things around for the GT500” is opinion.

meh, the drag wheel setup isnt even listed on the Dodge, what else isnt being listed?
Well yes. not sure why you felt like pointing that out was relevant.
I’m pointing out that you’re speculating. Which degrades your argument. That’s why.

So find me another source comparing the 3. That's what we have for now. And the fact that they used the same driver, same conditions, same day for the results seems pretty legit to me.
Car and Driver, Motor Trend, whatever your flavor of choice, the results are the same...
Edit: trap speed results. Obviously ETs are off in this vid considering no prep.
which car is faster in the 1/4, the 350R or the 350 base?
Totally different cars. Can't use a compairson like that to prove your point.
...Ford says the base model is the best model to run the 1/4 in.
You're cherry picking. Tire construction favors the 4S in this case for drag racing.
