Again, Dodge does not disappoint.

Would love to see a Hellcat Powered 'street truck'....not something so geared for off road use that it will likely never see.
As has been mentioned in this thread, bring back the Lightning. GM will follow suit with a hot truck and Dodge can slap the HC motor in anything :)

Bet it can't tuck the full size spare between the frame rails. That's why they have a bed mount option.

Time for Ford to really start developing the 7.3L.
In one of the pics in the below quoted article it looks like it has a full size spare between the frame rails.
I loved how they quickly glossed over the suspension aspect. Did I miss approach, departure, and breakover angles?

Ford better watch out and stuff a boosted V8 into the raptor. Trx seems like the real deal.

702HP and 650ft-lbs and only 4.5 0-60 lolololololo

That’s kinda what I thought too but then again what does that truck weigh? Bet that piggy ain’t no feather weight.

Is it just me or was anyone else underwhelmed with the TRX debut??? I was totally expecting to be pricing one out online by now, think I will just wait until I see them hit the showroom or in the wild.

Weight is for sure part of it, but do you have any idea what accelerating with 35" tires is like?
Lots of people seem to not understand how much power a heavy ass wheel/tire combo will eat up.
Its not uncommon to lose 50+ lb/ft at the wheels when going from a stock style wheel/tire to a 35" off road set up like this.

Lets be real, the 450 HP Raptor does what, 5.5 0-60? 13.8 1/4 mile? Kia's do that :)

And the Kia sounds better too...

I too what hoping for some cool 3D model graphics of the suspension upgrades and changes.

I'm sure more info will be coming out. I guess they glossed over it since the intended audience for this "launch hype" likely don't care or don't have context.

The front diff might not be able to handle that power with a locker. Good choice on a Dana 60 for the rear though.
Yeah I saw it had 6-lugs instead of the normal Ram 5-Lugs.

Maybe Toyota will get with the program again.

God damn hate how manufacturers can't get aligned on lug-patterns.

Absolutely! For those of us who can't logically spend $70+k on something so specialized as this, it'd make for a nice compromise. $70k on a high performance street truck starts to sound more enticing. Haul butts, lug crap, tow junk, all-season ability AND have the performance of a muscle car. Sure it may not handle the greatest, but that comes with the territory and is a worthy sacrifice IMO. Plus the new Rams already look slick. I picture a TRX street version in black, sitting fairly low, bigger brakes showing through wider wheels filling up the fenders...Now I'M getting a boner! lol

What gears does it have? 4.10s?
3.55 according to the website.

Pricing is out on ramtrucks.com

A tuned Gen2 or SC Gen1 with similar power levels beats the TRX numbers...

I dig it, and with a starting price of 71k I could actually be interested in trading up pending on what would be given for my current ram. That said I wouldn’t be terribly sad not to have one as I just simply have no need for it lol.

I’ll be almost more interested in seeing what ford does with the next raptor now
