this video popped up in my YT feed last night. its not that old so im sure many havent seen it yet. i got bored with this show a long time ago but this video is amazing. it brings an all new appreciation for the GT to me. that blue color is incredible on that car. oh and lol at James May's Bea Arthur impersonation

Yeah they did 3 seasons semi top gear style with the test track, audience, car reviews etc. Then they dropped that and for season 4 are only doing "specials" where they do a big trip. They changed things every season but never could get the formula right like they had on top gear. I still liked the show but never as much as top gear. The trio is still a good team together so I enjoy most of what they put out.

No one has came close to matching them for a car/entertainment show since top gear. Not the grand tour, not the new top gear hosts, and damn sure not american top gear.

Driving the new GT must instill some top level confidence. One hell of a car. I enjoyed the video. Pretty much any GT review like that would put a smile on my face.

Yeah amazon prime. I thoroughly enjoyed the Mongolia special when they had to build the car together so they could get to civilization.

I was always a fan of the specials. I think Bolivia was the absolute best one ever

Yup, and they haven't skipped a beat... Funny thing is in real life, they really aren't close friends. They talked about that when Clarkson got canned from Top Gear. Amazing dynamics they have together.

For us, their Top Gear "Patagonia" Special (2 episodes) may have been the goat.

The special where they are driving through Africa and one of them is dragging a log to use as a brake when the car stops and rolls back because he has no brakes, but while he is driving the log bounces up and flies through the back window lol. I think that is my favorite episode of theirs and that part is hilarious. All of the specials are great though, even the newest one in Vietnam with the boats.

They just started streaming a new american version with all new hosts but its still pretty bad. The comedy and the engagement between the hosts just feels so forced.

Ah you're missing out, vietnam was not the newest one, they added the madagascar special in december where they take cars that should not be off road and modify them to go off road. Focus RS on tank tracks, bentley continental and a caterham. It's a pretty good one.

I did see that one too. I got them mixed up as to what was most recent. I watched the Vietnam one recently so that is reason for the confusion.
