Hey all. Bought a used Whipple 2.9 and looks like it was damaged in shipping. Attached a couple pics. Any ideas if this can be fixed, replaced, or any in way salvaged before I beat my head against a wall? Thanks.
That fitting seems to be the only damage. It was perfectly intact prior to shipping, and everything else seems to still be in good shape. I've reached out to Whipple, hopefully they still have the parts for it. Just going to have to see what they say I guess. If that fitting is the only damage I would Think you can get the parts from Whipple and fix it. I would very closely inspect for any other damage before I put it into service though. If you are not 100% confident in your inspection skills, take to someone that specializes in superchargers/turbos. I suspect if you send it to Whipple they will want to rebuild it.
Yes, he can remove the whole PCV block and replace it if needed. It normally comes pre-installed, and installer adds the fittings during the blower installation.Hey @SCGallo2, aren't there just two allen key (hex bolts) retaining that onto the blower? I don't see why the OP can't just remove it?
...Wonder if the OP resolved this issue ??
