lol, well since it wasn't as hot as the Main Machinery Spaces on an Aircraft Carrier, I didn't have a problem with it.
I remember warning signs telling you not to grab the handrails on the ladders in the main machinery spaces. ( CV-59 )
While these spaces were warm, they were not as hot as the reactor outer containment areas, on SSN's / SSBN's, when they came in off patrol. ( 140* )
.
So, after baking all day, did you win anything ??

NICE!! The problem with trophies, is they a start to take over your house after a while, LOL!! I kind of wish they would give gift certificates to places that help sponsor the show, like restaurant/businesses on the site of show (if a shopping center parking lot, lets say). Way to give back to those allowing the show on their property.

Thanks, The Show was judged on merit for paint, interior and exterior mods, engine bay, trunk and wheels. The guys that did the judging are real nitpickers too. If your car is stock, it should look like it came off the assembly line. lol

Any special SVTP shirts or gear for MW?

Nope. We're not setting up. From a vendor's perspective, displaying/selling at the show has delivered diminished ROI for the last several years. For SVTP in particular, they made it impossible for us to sell our most popular item (which they then produced a knock-off version of the following year).

Knockoff of SVTP apparel, Sid?

No, it was a knock off of the "I Survived Mustang Week" shirt that was a punch list of the events along with some SVTP branding. We sold about 450 of them over 2 years, and that made it possible to finally break even at the event (keep in mind I live here so I don't have travel expenses to deal with). The next year they told us that none of our merch could have the words "Mustang Week" on it and released their knock off version (which they've produced a few more versions of sense).

The reality of the situation on this being the last one is that the city of MB owns the venue it had been moved to a few years back, and for any number of reasons they didn't want to host the event. That's why it moved back to the mall. Losing the MB Speedway was also a huge blow to the event, and a general disgrace to the area. MB just doesn't have a lot of car related venues left, so it's no longer the best place for something like MW.

All that being said, you'll find me on The Deck at the House of Blues tonight.

Wow that's pretty shitty dude. I'm curious on how the Mustang Fest stuff in September is going to go. I'm only a few hours away (outside Columbia) so I will almost definitely support the event, either way.

Depending on what all I'm getting into might see ya there man!

Yeah; it was kind of shitty, but that’s the way it goes sometimes. It won’t stop me from being friendly with the MW organizers or hoping the event succeeds, but I haven’t recommended anyone do business with them since. We brought a ton of vendors to MW in the past, this year they appear to be down easily 50% on vendors on site.

I’m hoping I’ll be in town for that one in Sept, but I don’t know right now.
