Yes, but Cobras are underrated..They dyno 365rwhp all the way to 390rwhp stock, GTOs typically dyno 345-355rwhp stock and weigh a bit more. Also, Cobras have slightly more aggressive gearing.

The cobra is underated. Its more like gto 400 and cobra 420.

An m6 GTO will put down 340-350 and the cobra will put down 370-380

I wouldn't be shocked if it was a 3.5L/3.6L ... or even a 4.0L Mustang modded...

The simple fact that tune/cai 3Vs have gone high 12s @ 107~108mph says a lot but in today's game anything can be made fast, once something is modded I never count it out and it never shocks me if it beats another stock car.

i have an '05 GTO with catback/K&N intake, and have taken down one mach1 and a mild bolt-on '99ish cobra, and several '05+ GT's. the mach1 was when i was stock, and it was a 30 roll. the GTO feels a bit weaker than my '04 cobra did stock, but not by much. these cars are hard to launch (just like terminators), but once you get rolling, they squat and go. i'd be amazed if a stock mach1 could take an LS2 GTO from a roll with equal drivers. from a dig, who knows, the mach will most likely pull a bit at first, but will still get passed, and passed hard above 100mph.

And you are right, GTO pulls hard once it get rolling, especially up top.

And iif you were to race an m6 ls2 GTO in your GT it would be an easy kill for the GTO.

when my mach 1 was stock i raced 2 ls2 gto's and i was dead even with both. i raced both from a 40-50 mph roll all the way up to about 120-135 and we were dead even the whole time. both were m6's and they were equal drivers. those are the 2 that i raced and i think stock for stock they are even.

Seriously though, I've raced a Mach and I ended up half a car length behind when we got to 100. I also raced a goat and he was about 1 car length.

Did the goat have passengers? :shrug: LS2 GTOs are capable of 109mph+ traps! Not saying they're MUCH faster, but they should be able to edge out a stock mach1 everytime with equal drivers.

I sense a little bit of sarcasmn........but riced out would be a slow civic with a loud fart can exhaust, stickers, and a body kit.

An SRT4, for one, is a domestic car made by Dodge in case you forgot already, and they can actually be made to be pretty quick. So I wouldn't really call it rice just for the fact that it has a 4-cyl in it.

Only thing that I dislike about the SRT4 is the fact that it is still a neon and front-wheel-drive and are thereby pretty limited as to how fast you're going to go even with a good amount of power. The things I really like about them are the fact that they're turbo'd and can be made to be decently quick street cars.
