Would you rather have an SN95 Cobra or Edge GT?

Cobra. get a 94-95 cobra. they can be found CHEAP. Pushrod motors can last a long time, those early 4.6's are oil burning sloths from what i have seen.

I had a 97 Cobra.. great running car, didn't burn a drop of oil, of course I changed it every 10K with Mobil1 synthetic..

just wish it had a little more grunt down low..

and are also insane maintenance hogs. I daily drove two different fox bodies over a period of 3-4 years, I'll never do it again. Daily driving a fox body is the worst idea in the world.

sorry but no they are not maintenance hogs...i daily drove my fox for 7 years, had 123k miles on it when i bought it and ran great. never had an issue with it, and never had it breakdown on me. i wouldn't hesitate to drive another fox daily.

My first Mustang was a 97GT. I vote 96-98 Cobra. I will always love that body style first. Besides it is a Cobra.

ok so since you drove one fox for 7 years that means that they are all as reliable as yours

Actually now that I think of it, I daily drove 3 different fox bodies all at different times. An 86 GT T-Top, an 88 5.0 Coupe and a 93 Coupe and all were maintenance hogs. The stupidest things would go out on all three of them.

Aside from the engine, there isn't a single thing on all three of those cars that I DIDN'T replace, straight down to the tab/tad solenoids on the passenger shock tower. 2nd gear went out on the '86, the AOD on the 88 and 93 both went south fast and slipped worse than a wet pig.

Sorry, daily driving an aging and unrefined fox body is the stupidest idea in the world. Anyone who takes your advice to daily drive one, haha well proceed with caution. I sent out my warning, i've said what I needed to say and we can just leave it at that. You've had your experience I've had mine with 3 different foxes. Don't get me wrong, I love fox bodies but i'll never daily drive one again.

Well I would have to say SN-95. I just think they look better and the options are out there to make them very quick.

No joke! My wife's 96gt had black leather, while my 97gt had tan leather with black cloth in the middle. It was the only thing I didn't like about my car.

The funny thing is the tan interior doesn't really bother you after a while, you kinda get used to it. Then you see a car with nice black leather and you wanna blow your brains out. lol

SN95 Cobra, hands down. Whoever said the Bullit and SN95 Cobra are close stock for stock is either on crack or had a bum Cobra, the Bullit is just a GT... 14s car. A stock SN95 Cobra should pull a bus on a 99-04 GT lol. I will say if you're looking for a dead reliable daily driver, a 94-95 Cobra might be the better choice, just because every part of the drivetrain is dirt cheap and you can find it anywhere. I like the way 94-95s drive over your average NA 4.6, too. Can't beat the bottom end torque.

then swap it all over

my buddy's 95 was the black/grey interior and its all black now. You can do the same to tan/black interior.........

just gotta watch a few forums and a few FS sections for someone parting out a SN95 with all black interior and have some benjamins on the ready for them.

SN95 Cobra for sure. My first Mustang was a supercharged 1998 laser red Cobra. I still cannot get over how beautiful the lines are on the 96-98 Cobra's.

I would be all over the sn95 cobra. Its the faster better looking car with more potential than the GT. The cobra can be very quick with a few mods on it. I had 2 freinds wiht SN95 cobras and neither ever had any real problems out of the cars.

Thanks. I seem to have forgotten what my shitty interior was like in my '96 Cobra and '98 GT, versus the much more quiet and better built interior on my '03 Cobra.

Is it really that big of a difference? I have three interior noises right now I need to address. The E-brake shifter button rattles, I have a rattle from the interior C pillar panel on the passanger side, and one right below the CD player that when I touch the panel it stops. Those are the only noises I have, and they'll be fixed easily.

Yes, these seats suck though LOL. I seriously have to work to stay on my seat. I say on instead of in because they don't have enough lateral support at all!

Holy shit LOL we have the SAME rattles ahahaha. My E-brake rattle is from my billet UPR cover, the cd rattle is from the plastic recess CD holder thingy. I dont have a C-pillar rattle though.

Anyway as to the original topic .... Hard one. I have thought about this MANY times as well. I HATE the SN95 lines but its a cobra ..... C-O-B-R-A! If I could keep my newedge V6 I would choose the cobra.
