Running in the mid 9 seconds in the 1/4 mile is a great accomplishment for a 4000 pound six speed street shelby.Putting a six speed 4000 pound shelby in the eight second zone is not going to happen.

I think the problem was that he was driving a 6speed :bash::bash::bash:

If he has 1000HP. Then he should of been able to eat a MC D's Bigmac and shift it to a 11.20 @123 MPH 1/4 mile....:shrug:

In my opinion I think you have to much power for that clutch and transmission to go in the 8's. It is just going to keep breaking. :rockon:

Hey newbie....ever hear of a boost controller...or maybe a properly set suspension...Maybe you guys are right though?? I'm going to keep breaking parts trying!! I'm not a quitter!! :burnout:

I have the mph to do it no problem. When I get the 60ft right it's done. I think I might have 8 passes with this set up...give us a little time. Team Thunder doesn't play.

You know I am a big fan of your shelby and we all know how all this BS wagerig goes on this forum.Spend all

David, why can't a Shelby run 8's with a 6 speed but vipers and supras can? They even do it with IRS! It will happen, but I just think the members of this board are just too used to seeing others take the easy way out. They didn't have the drive or the skill to make one of these cars go 8's with a 6 speed, but i'm confident that we do have the skill, and I know we have the drive. Just because Evo can't do it, doesn't mean it can't be done period ;-) It's not going to happen over night instantly, but it takes more suspension tuning, careful tire selection, and clutch operation to get it done, and the testing and tuning to go along with it.
