I have a 16 2.7 crewcab 4x4 been great so far. All stock ran mid 14s@mids 90smph and im at 22mpg avg mixed hwy and city.

Week after I bought it got a full yard of stone (got the full scoop since we would get half in my dads tacoma) handled it fine even though I over loaded the hell out of it. Had to of been close to 1.5tons

Yea the EB dont sound as good as v8's but with stock exhaust and intake u get some cool turbo sounds. Acutally i think the truck sounds pretty close to grand nationals, but im not baised or anything...

We bought the 3.5 Twin Turbo in an 2015 F150 4X4 last year for the wife. We occasional tow an Acura car on a light trailer and it does excellent. wife averages just over 18 mpg almost split between country and city driving. The passing power is great its a little slow on the initial start but gets up pretty quick. We are very happy with it overall.

I recently bought a 2016 F150 with the 5.0 /3.55 axle. My only complaint with my F150 5.0 is the transmission throttle response is set up with too much delay in the normal drive mode. You have to FLOOR it to make the transmission down shift and accerlerate when you want to increase speed for basic lane changes. If you switch it to sport mode the throttle response dramatically improves. I'm not sure if ECO turbo engine and transmission has the same set up. I believe the ECO Turbo is faster 0-60. In sport mode the 5.0 is excellent and sounds great. I wish you could leave the truck in sport mode as the default setting.

Try disconnecting your battery for a few hours. Should reset the transmission's adaptive learning feature and be more responsive during the subsequent learning phase.

My EB F150 lasted 175k miles, but it was 175k miles of oil field roads, constant running for 10 hours at a time, in 125 degree weather.

We havent had one last past 190k miles yet, but.. given what it goes through I wouldnt expect it to.

The silverados we have, one needed a trans by 75k miles, the other needed a trans at 115k miles, the silverado I have now, needed a trans at I think 60k miles or so, and now it has 106k on it

Huh? Tell that to Ford. That's the entire basis of the ecoboost in the F150.
So 300 miles towing the GT 350 with the Raptor ( by the way the Voodoo engine is even better) still at 12.5 MPG. I have to admit I did not reset it so that is the average. Also to comment on the gas the electric car industry and now I'm thinking the ECO boost is only going to lower the price.

there's a guy on the truck boards with over 250k trouble free miles. And he doesn't even use synthetic oil haha. These motors are dialed in, just stay away from the 2011.

Oh I can believe it

But like our trucks.. When I start it in the morning, it MIGHT get turned off twice in a 14 hour day. It runs almost all day. Dirt roads all day, high temps. All that. We put probably 4k miles a month on our trucks, and long long idle times

So honestly 175k miles with the way it gets driven. I'm proud of it

I have about 30k on my 15 EB and love it. I average 19mpg in town and have pulled down 22mpg on the interstate and over 24mpg on country highway; 55-60mph is a sweet spot for them. I have a SCrew FX4 Lariat. I drove a XLT 5.0 and it felt like a dog in comparison. I don't burn oil, I did a resonator delete and drop in filter.

The EB is extremely quiet, has power everywhere in the RPM range, and is smooth.

I will be buying a 10sp 19 3.5EB.

That's really what a 6.2 Superduty was designed for, not so much an F150.

One thing I do not understand is that people will dismiss the F150 yet hop on a SD bandwagon so quickly, not saying you are but it reminded me of something.

Nobody would hesitate to say that a F250 from day the mid-late 90s is great for towing and capable. You look at a current F150 EB dimensions, power, and other things it is even with a 90s F250. The current F150 has bigger brakes, most likely a more capable trans, the same track width, almost the same power stock.

Your MPG is a lot better than my 5.0. I'm averaging 17.7 with 50/50 driving.
