My interest level in buying a supercharged car is near zero. If you did nothing else but took a GT350 and put a blower on it for the same money, that would make the car *less* appealing to me.

Different strokes for different folks.

What is your interest level in buying the upcoming GT500?

GT350 resale values will PLUMMET! So will Dodge Demon resale values in a year or so when Dodge tops it. And so too will all vette values when Mid-Engine arrives. And so on and so on. I remember being in the dealership when they wanted 25K over sticker for a Laguna Seca Boss 302. One sold for that. Now you can get that car with no miles for 40K or less. The GT500 is a GT350 on steroids. Which one would you want? Which one is faster? On both street and track? Come on guys...it's so comical hearing the 350 owners say the 500 is a different car. It's not...it's just a better track car! At least the Hellcat owners can minimize the butthurt over the Demon by saying it's a drag strip car so not for them...but This GT500 is just a better GT350. It's meant to slay the ZL1 1LE and Z06. It won't beat a ZR1 on track or Demon in straight line. But it will also be 75K if you can find it for that. Good times. But yeah...expect to lose 20K on your 350 trade ins if you have 15-20K miles on it. Life sucks, drive hard!

There is a reason why the GT350 in its 3rd year is still getting above msrp and the zl11le less than 1 year old is being sold for thousands under. People, people with extra cash, don’t want another blown v8 with fancy shocks.
It’s why the 11 GT3RS still sell for $150 and up 7 years later!!

A couple weeks ago when the '19 Bullitt was touring on 66 from Chicago to LA, they stopped through my city, one of the cars was driven by a Ford engineer. Said pretty much the same thing...I asked him, as a 350 owner, about all the chatter, such as seen here...His response was as objective as could be, but he did let on that the car is more "all around" than focused on one thing or another.

If that's true, and it certainly makes sense to me, then we can expect a car that's better at dragging but not as sharp in corners. Not a bad thing at all if you ask me. Pairing this with the PP2, I think Ford has answered about what they will do next. If the PP2 sells well, that'll become the 350 type car while the 500 goes out to try and clobber all with power.

The 350 will get a nice 3.5 year run (there were so few 15s its hard to count them in this) and will solidify that car's value some.

Pics of the Bullit...nice car for sure...

Demon is as good as the 13/14 GT500 now, meaning not in production.

If you want a quick turnaround, go with a quickly engineered vehicle such as Camaro or challenger.

Ford took their time with the GT350 and got it right. Hopefully they are doing this with the new GT500 as well.

Won't it still just be "...another blown v8 with fancy shocks", even if it is slowly engineered?
Depends on your definition of engineering.

Will it be compared to the HC/D and ZL11LE and Roush mustangs or will it be compared to the $200k Porsche Turbo S in terms pure driving dynamics not just performance numbers?

If editors compare it to the latter we will then know why it took so long.
