How Can an Old 408ci Windsor Make 500HP?

Lol "How". Didn't bother to watch the vid so I'm guessing it's around 10:1, 240ish duration cam, air gap intake (any decent intake really), a 750cfm carb, heads that flow around 280-300cfm, and prolly 1-3/4" headers.

Yeah. They've had the parts for a long time. Friend of mine had a 500+hp 393 in his 70 Mach 1 in the early 2000's.

I keep flirting with the idea of building up my 351W to a 408 and putting it in a Factory Five. Everything was sized for a 408 with Victor Jr. heads, big cam, EFI Victor Jr Intake. The thing pulled to 7000 RPM with the 9:1 351W. It made around 400 RWHP. It is just collecting dust in my Fox Body.
