Tacomas and Wranglers hold their value better than any vehicle under $100k I’ve ever seen. It’s a mixture of their cult classic status and, for the ‘Yota at least, the fact that’s it’s damm near indestructible. Chances are, you’ll get bored or need something different before the Tacoma lets you down.

Actually, there's been a massive demand in used vehicles in general. I don't think I've seen it mentioned here, but Carvana I guess is burning through a lot of venture capital funding, and buying up massive amounts of used vehicles. I think there one was person who bought a used 18 GT, for XX, and last month Carvana offered him like 3K over what he paid 12 months back. Someone with a pickup got an offer of like 4K over what they paid a year ago. Another person said Carvana's offer was the same as they paid for their truck but the had it two years and put like 25K miles on it.

So yeah, anyone wanting a new car, check out Carvana. You do a 3 minute thing online, they make you an offer, a dude comes out, inspects and and cuts you a check right there.

funny you should mention this.

last year I was toying with the idea of getting rid of my 2013 Raptor super crew, fully loaded with 75,000 miles.

was offered $27,000, paid $43,000 in February of 2017. No thanks.

fast forward to this past week, I’m reading articles about used car prices, dealers short of inventory, etc and I see a carvana ad.

I punch in info for my raptor, now with 94,000 miles, and offer comes in at $32,400 !!!

they are coming Tuesday at 2pm to pick it up... I couldn’t believe it when I saw the price they were willing to pay. I’ve basically had the truck for three and a half years and it cost me $10,000.

I’ve got other vehicles I can drive till I find something I like to replace it.

Thread derail, I am going to start the de mod on my car based on the number they threw at me-crazy.
What was the turn time from offer acceptance to “pick up” and what type of financial instrument are they gonna show up with?

I have a 19 off road that I bought new last year for 34. Carvonna offered me 36 last week after driving for a year 20k miles could make 2k. Used car market is crazy now.

But even normal times tavomas hold their value. I had planned to buy slightly used but for a truck 3 years old with 30k+ miles it was only 3-4 more to buy new. So I bought new.

Your offer is good for 7 days.

During that period you submit a copy of your drivers license, title, and pic of odometer.

they are then supposed to email you to schedule a pick up time and date.

they had not for me so I called and did it over the phone.

you can have funds transferred to your bank or they show up with a certified check.

I believe it 100%. Ive been looking for a suv for my wife like a explorer trail blazer or expedition and its like hitting the lotto. Granted the budget is 6gs but anything good is getting sold within a day or 2 online. A lot of these guys on Craigslist are complete tool bags who like to play phone tag or ghost ya

Please compose a 17 page letter describing your need for said Tacoma and be sure to include depreciation of asset language so we can fully understand and offer acceptable proposals.

Only do this after you are done digging dimes and nickels from the cushions of that $49 Walmart love seat you have stuffed into the corner of your 1 bedroom gov subsidized/multi family apartment.
