How so? Typically you get a lease for 3yrs. Put a down payment you never gain back, pay a continuous car payment and end up with nothing for you money at the end. And pay a fee to return the vehicle and overcharges if you drive too many miles. Then you turn around and do it again because you dont have a vehicle. Never ending payments with nothing you own.

Pretty much the same thing as your example.
Lol if thats how you are doing it then that is just as stupid isnt it.

Who said i was??

But i guess you finally get it now.
I didn't say you were, I was generalizing people who do that.

I don't know anyone who's upside down financially on lease payments like I know people wildly in more and more debt trading in. But if there are people doing that then yes, no different and just as dumb.

Quit yelling at me gaaawd

Serious question, how in the hell can we stop this madness? The only answer is seeming more drastic by the day...

Seriously. I think we all know the election BS only made them bolder. If soros would just croak already that would be nice but I’m sure his funding is set up to work well past his death. Then you have msm, big tech, etc. we’re looking to be pretty screwed at this point. Enjoy things while you can I guess

You are both idiots and need to go read up or watch some actual videos (from the people supporting this as a great idea).

Why do you think Ford, GM and Toyota are pledging to go full EV in 10 years? So that Chrysler can butt **** them with Hellcats and Wranglers as no-one wants an EV Mustang, Corvette or Tacoma?

Hellcats are low volume vehicles on an antiquated platform. The Mustang Mach-E is currently the 3rd best-selling BEV on the market today. Maybe if you weren't so emotional, you would see that automakers have to meet ZEV mandates imposed on them by various states and countries around the world. They are not able to sell vehicles in those markets if they don't meet ZEV mandates/pay massive fines. Automakers need to be flexible and agile. Chrysler isn't.

FCA is currently screwed because it cannot afford to develop a line up of EVs on its own. One of the major reasons FCA merged with PSA is to co-develop EVs with PSA and become a fast follower within the next 5 years. No automaker can afford to play every EV angle, so their strategies have revolved around their strengths. Chrysler has MHEVs in the Wrangler and Ram(48-volt tech). Ford on the other hand is very strong in commercial vehicles, so its EV strategy is built around that. That is why there is major investments in electrification efforts of the F150 and Transit. With fleet owners paying attention to the cost of ownership, they would happily switch to EVs if it meant they get significant savings in fuel and maintenance. Likewise, GM has been electrifying the segments that play to their strengths, the full size SUVs. GM can electrify these already expensive EVs and price them without much pushback from consumers. Even Honda is having GM make EVs for them off of GM's Ultium platform.

Hardly, they will use their political clout to force legislation to back their business models. EVs offer a great opportunity to simplify platforms onto one architecture , using one powertrain and eliminating tons of mechanical components and costs. This will be to the industry in 2030 what FWD chassis development was in the 1980's.
Okay? It makes sense to have one dedicated EV platform as retrofitting an ICE platform presents too many engineering compromises. A propulsion system should have its own dedicated platform in order to maximize productivity, range, and performance.

ICE vehicles are not going away. Wards Auto recently asked automakets if the have "clean sheet" engines in the work and numerous automakers confirmed that they do, including Ford, Toyota, Mazda, etc. There are numerous improvements in ICE technology, including valve control management, electrified turbos, where the turbo operates as a supercharger compressor but operates as a generator to harvest exhaust gas to put it back in the battery. Likewise, there is variable compression turbos, 48-volt systems, which allow for engine start/stop to work efficenecy because its a low cost solution for emissions. With a 48 volt system, it creates a carbon free system that allows for cars to enter carbon free zones in cities. Ford even has a system that combines that with geofencing.

When looking for headers for my Coyote swap, shop doing the work and I noticed the header maker websites are changing fast. It looks like they will force you to buy catted midpipe with any longtube header purchase.

The shop I am using is reacting as well, no more work on cars with cats gutted or removed. Also drastically changing what they will install.

On my swap, am using Magnaflow shorty headers and EPA cert catted midpipe.

What we need is to get data points by smogging popular cars stock and modified with FFE and E85. Take that data set, which I have seen show no more pollutants than stock, to a lawyer. Get the lawyer to do the meat of the paperwork but leave out the plaintiffs information. Disseminate the paperwork to hobbyists, shops, manufacturers and then everyone file injunctions in Federal Court. Thousands of injunctions against the EPA. Play their court game.
