Sorry in advance if issues with a Facebook link (I don’t have an account) but the guy in the video is a good friend and hardcore Ford guy.
He wanted to share this for awareness and education. VERY happy to say he’s getting better by the day.
I play in this same rink and league just in the 30+ league.
Very happy to say Bruce is alive today due to an AED and the right people around.

Out of respect for you and your friend I will not ask “the question”
Because it might be upsetting.

Glad he is doing well.

And yet we all know what you are getting at. So was there really respect?

Shit. Rich Peverly died on the bench, and was trying to get back into the game 10 minutes later.

Glad to know he survived it. Luckily they knew CPR and had a defibrillator on hand. I see them at gyms also but have no idea how they work.

At 63 this can happen, vaccine or not. I recall a few years ago three people died, one due to a heart attack, competing in the Argus Bike Race down in South Africa.

AEDs have been saving people long before that shitty vax. It's self explanatory and will walk you through the whole process, if you ever need to use it

Wow, the was a close call. Thank God there were folks there to help him. I see he had a triple bypass as a result. Good to hear he is recovering well.

I just installed three at our church. They literally talk you through the process.

AEDs becoming cheaper, more compact, easier to use, and more available is a great thing. I plan in carrying one on my next boat.

Our cabin in NC is out in BFE, we’ve had one for a few years. You just gotta keep up with the battery pack replacement but it really is pretty idiot proof. We all went through it with the training kit it comes with and it won’t do anything if you aren’t in afib

I just checked and my home unit battery is dead and of course no longer available!
For anyone able to afford a home unit it’s a great idea.

I’m glad my aunt keeps track of that shit at work and our cabin.

Quick google search shows the AED units we have for around $700 with the training kit. Being ~30 minutes one way to a hospital and anywhere from 5-20 of us there at a time seemed like a small price to pay

Finally talked to him yesterday now that he’s home.
And other than a sore chest he said he can realize now, based on his current energy levels, that he had symptoms he had been ignoring or rationalizing.
Probably like many other tough guys.
On the car stuff side, Bruce had just retired from Ford and was very close with Brian Wolfe. Their last project…Godzilla 7.3. Bruce had more than many realize in helping Brian green light the 7.3
This is the car he started building and then sold to Chris Holbrook.
I enjoyed helping Bruce and Team Holbrook work on this car last year.

Can forklift drivers operate them easily? Asking for a friend.
