Great video until Richard Rawlings showed his ugly ass in there.
No idea, but at any speed over 200mph depends more with aero than power. That car slips through the air effectively. My hp should be good to 250mph, but the aero of a brick. Anything over 200 will be a struggle. The mile has been the only goal I've been trying to build the car for. Much of it involves stuff like aluminum splitter, tape on everything, custom grill to keep too much air out of the engine bay, custom underbody shields to keep air from under the car and a pro stock style straight aluminum rear ring to keep the air from picking up the rear at those speeds, among many other things to pick up just a couple of mph. I'm working on updating the fuel system to make the jump from 700whp to 1000whp. I still need a cage and any other race equipment the rules require or I require. How much power is that GT putting down?

US Mile rules don't have anything for a street car class, so that is something the owner came up with or a very custom class. Not taking anything away from running these numbers, as they are insane, but what criteria are they using that deems this a "street" car? I know this is splitting hairs, but suspect/questionable/unverifiable claims (particularly in the YouTube world) has always been a pet peeve of mine.

I wish. It's not the weight but the aero. 700whp is good for 200. You need around 1000whp for 250 plus craploads of aero. Even with 1000whp, you wouldn't get over 220mph in an S197 without lots of aero.700whp is good for 250mph?
Are you in a go cart?

I was thinking the same thing. I doubt M2K will bring their GT to Florida to race him, they don't have anything to prove. If anything Johnny should hit the Texas mile and do what M2K did. That Johnny guy seems like a real Dbag, with a touch of little man syndrome.
The M2K car is cleary the much faster (at least acceleration wise) of the two. IMO, doing 300 in a standing mile is much more impressive that 310 over 2.4+ miles.
Debating which is more streetable is retarded. There are both race cars at this point.
****in Rocket ship!Looks like Johnny Bohmer in his 06 FGT finally beat M2k motorsports FGT record, previously at 300.4 mph at the Texas mile. Crazy that two Ford GT have gone over 300mph now in the standing mile.
