Guys rams police vehicles survives hail of gunfire

This guy stole a city dwp tahoe and was driving reckless all over town. Cops finally find him and pursuit ends with guy repeatedly ramming police vehicles. A platoon of cops shoot at him but he magically survives. He repeatedly attempts to mow down a bunch of cops and gets $150k bail. Gotta love CA!

How the hell is that guy survived is beyond me. Cops showed some serious restraint here.

Judging by the video, the majority of the cops were forced to back off, which resulted in the second assault on them. The lead commander held everyone at bay, thus allowing the thug to launch a new assault on the cops. The result of new LAPD training, likely. So if the scum who assaulted the cops after the commander ordered them to back up and not hurt him killed a few cops during the assault, it's on the commander at that point, IMO. The ridiculous $150K bail is just as bad. LA is done if this is how they're now handling violent crime.

Wasn’t there another video like this recentlt with a different PD, similar scenario?

Not digging on the cops, but I would have been hitting the deck during some of those barrages. Lots of sprayin & prayin, and muzzle flagging!

Dunno enough about training and maybe it varies department to department but isn't shooting a movie target that is going through a and splitting a group of offices a huge risk? I'm surprised they didn't hit each other with shots.

Surprising to see this out of LAPD, they tend to be a pretty professional agency, but looked more like NYPD clowns in that shooting…. Remember when NYPD shot everything, even innocent bystanders and the perps were unscathed
