Figured I'd post these boring roll races for those that want to see them.
First race my GT-R was bone stock. The supercharged '01 M5 was making 546 rwhp at 9 psi along with bolt-ons and water/meth.
The second run my GT-R had a mid-pipe and tune on 93 octane (around 520 whp on a Mustang)...
The Stage 3 UGR E-gear Superleggera TTG is at 1250 whp on C16, R888s. The stock displacement GT-R made around 1250 and has gone 8.8 @ 165. The GT-R pulls by 1-2 cars in both races.
***Go-pro video from TTG added on 2 Oct.

Here's a vid of my Switzer R1K-X GT-R putting down 1248/1003 on a Mustang AWD dyno. Boost was 38 psi on Q16. The car has a built motor (with stock 3.8L displacement) and a built tranny.
This is currently the highest power ever achieved by an R35 GT-R.

Found this floating around on the 'net.
"Modified 996TT on low-boost and pump gas versus stock C6 Z06. 996TT was at 700 rwhp in video. On high boost, it makes 900 rwhp."
Protomotive 996TT vs C6 Z06 - Video
Camera work could be better.
996TT was only running 101 octane on mid-boost, had two people in the car, plus 3/4 of a tank of fuel.
There were a few more runs made after these two, but the videos didn't turn out. They each ended up like the 2nd run due to too much traffic...
Mods on EVO are BOV and Boost Controller.
M3 has Dinan Stage 1 software. Doesn't add HP..only increases redline 150 rpm and removes top-speed limiter.
M3 also left traction control on due to damp road.

This is absolutely hilarious! First off the guys sound like they walked off the set of "Good Will Hunting" and second the guy is talking SO MUCH smack it's makes it all the more funny when he gets what he deserves. Are there really that many people out there that don't do their research on the...
I was originally looking at '98-'99 C-5's, but when I found it I couldn't pass it up.
Bright red, 2003 with 3,000 miles for only $20,000.00. I bought it from a buddy that ran a bone stock 13.2 @ 105 his first and only run down the track in it.
The M3 will stay like it is, and I'll be...
I'm looking at purchasing a 2003+ Cobra and modding it (while keeping the M3). Anyway, I was curious as to what type of mods and how much $$$ (approximately) it will cost to get the car to trap in the 130 mph range? That would probably equate to 10's in the 1/4, but I'm not so much worried...
Thought you guys might get a kick out of this. Obviously if the drivers were equal the outcome would be far different, but it's still fun to mess with the Z06 guys about. :)

Cobra aspires to be M fighter.
In this month's issue of C&D (page 51), Phil Martens, Ford's Vice President for Product Creation, is quoted as saying the following about the next-gen Cobra:
"We have to have a Cobra that is World-Class level. The old Fox platform couldn't deliver that; this...
He was bating me at a redlight, kept inching forward and revving his engine. I could see his girlfriend laughing. I'd just smoked a SS two weeks earlier so I thought "What the hell. If he's stock I'll embarrass him."
Green light, we take off at the same time, we're dead even until I get...
I realize this is an SVT forum, but I truly respect your guys' opinions as car enthusiasts and figure you can help me out here:
If you guys were going to buy a car as a play car only...not a daily driver....which one would you get?
I'm looking for a very fast and *moddable* car that I can...
