i've got the cobra R version in mine, maybe 12.5k miles so far and it's been great with a bumpsteer kit and solid bushings. no HPDE events on it, though.
thought i'd share my (ugly as sin) intercooler bypass mod. it's akin to the 13/14 GT500 setup. i could have absolutely made this prettier if i had planned it back when i built the car, or swapped to a different crossover setup . . . at least it's effective! there was serious cavitation from...
i went from H&R race springs in the rear to MM/billstein coilovers with 475lb springs and found it a great improvement. slightly higher wheel rate compared to the average of the H&R's (progressive springs). roads are pretty decent around here, though.
wrong. every time you start the car, the ECU resets TPS 'position' based on the voltage at startup. this is not an adjustable part!!! it's not supposed to be! the computer does it for you. idle percentage is correct, and anything above 60% is WOT strategy i believe
right, absolutely agreed. however my order was held hostage under that condition and despite it being wrong, was still the path of least resistance to getting my torsen.
i actually ended up receiving my parts, but they were just drop shipped from maximum motorsports. my posts were edited because he threatened to sue me for defamation. during a 30-minute long rambling phone conversation about reputation in the industry and not letting me get much more than few...
i have a poorly finished j2 flow mod adapter plate available.
the outer ribs of the inlet/outlet tubes are scarred and chiped, and it was never chamfered or smoothed on the inside. it also was drilled slightly off to the point of bottoming out on the top of the block behind the uppermost idler...
i ordered a torsen t2-r in early january and there still is no word on lead time! i'm half tempted to do the ftbr stuff i've had since last year and pull it again once the torsen shows up
i was able to score these in person and tested the flaps with a long dowel before purchase. nice and smooth and firm, no rattling. this particular set sat for 13 years in a storage unit, has 3k+ miles on it. i lucked out!
thought i'd post some sound clips of the 2 exhausts i have. simple startups + couple revs. the one thing these videos don't show very well is the volume difference - the stingers are much much louder than the m-58. i thought it stalled the first time i cranked it with the m-58 on but nope, it...

i don't think i'll ever sell the terminator or the 66. i also have...
i thought the same until i busted out some q-tips and started testing surfaces i couldn't see. my leak wasn't visible, but would dump coolant like crazy when the pump was on. was finally visible once i removed the pulley bridge and then the topmost idler and bracket from the accessory drive so...
these guys have the gasket set the cheapest i could find when i built my setup last year: Genuine Ford SVT Cobra Supercharger Installation Gasket Kit - SVTINSTALLKIT | Levittown Ford (levittownfordparts.com)
i'd verify as best you can if it's engine coolant or the intercooler system leaking...
having a hell of a time finding the rubber hose clamp seal that goes between the air intake tube and the throttle body. i'm using stock intake tube and tb. anyone know where to source, or a part number?
thanks!
