Enkei rpf1 would look great I bet. The 18x9.5 might clear the non brembo cars. Havent tried em yet so I dont know.

I went with 19x10 all around. Might not be as many tire choices but I like the way it came out. For racing, I think 18x10 should be a wiser move.

I'm looking for an inexpensive set of 18x10's however I'm not really interested in the american muscle or late model restoration amr/sve wheels. Any suggestions?

18x10 that will clear Brembos with enough offset to work on the front too?

TSW only shows 2 wheels in 18x10 with 5x114.3 offset, and they are ET20.

Guys run the Drifts, TSW Nurburgring and Interlagos, and the Enkei RPF01 and PF01. Now they may need to use spacers with some of those but that really isn't a big real unless you don't opt for the ARP wheel studs.

Since we're on the topic of wheels, does anyone have any first hand experience with Federal 595 or Federal EVO tires? They are both 220 treadwear (OEM Pirelli's are 240 IIRC) and seem to get good reviews from what I have searched.

It seems most people recommend Federal tires for the RSR (140 tread wear) but I want something that will last a little longer than 10k miles. I know autocrossers swear by the RSR's and I've met a few who daily drive on them, but I don't want to have to buy new tires every year. Federal EVO's can be had for around $125ish which is a great bargain price, I'm just unsure if they are a considerable upgrade over the OEM tires.

No experience with the Federal's but I could almost guarantee anything is better then the Pirelli's, they get so greasy when they are hot it's stupid.

19" wheels get my vote, no matter what wheel you go with. They seem to fill up the wheel well nicely, especially if the car is lowered. Plus 19's hold their own at the road course with no problem. I prefer the slightly thinner sidewall of the 19's over the taller 18's because the 18's tend to flex a little too much.

I've always liked the Forgestar F14's! What color finish were you thinking about using?

If you are strictly going for performance, there is no better choice than a 18" setup. If you're going for aesthetics, 20" gets my vote.

A lot of people claim they have better/cheaper tire choices in 19" vs 20". This may have been true several years ago, but that is not the case now--at least for common sizes.

Here is my car on the stock 19's vs 20's:

19's do seem like the best of both worlds, but I have seen and over $100 difference in equivalent tire sizes (diameter) between the 19 (higher) and the 18 (lower). And with 20's, I think the ride quality goes down since you are now on rubber bands. This is a tough decision...I would stay with 19's but the price per tire is so skewed compared to 18's. 20's do look pretty good....decisions decisions....
