Here I'm faced with a difficult decission.

choice 1:
Buy 2013 gt500 and wait for 2015 gt

or

Choice 2:
Buy 2013 gt and wait for 2015 gt500

And i think choice 2 is difficult cause 2015 gt500 would be too expensive like the Nissan GTR 80K.

What you think?

1. The 2013 GT500 will likely be the first and last Mustang to come with upwards of 650+ Horsepower for quite some time due to rising CAFE Regulations.

2. You are basing choice two off of an assumption that it will cost $80,000+. Nothing has even been mentioned about the next generation Mustang yet so we have nothing to base either performance or pricing off of.

Get the 2013 if you want a true 650+ musclecar, because I believe this will be the last of its kind. Or wait for the 2015 if you want more of a M3 type of car with an IRS but want the Mustang name on it

Another thing to think about with the next cars(2015). Is that they will most likely be direct injected. While they will probably be better performers off the showroom floor, unless I've missed something, direct injection has not been easy to mod to support for higher HP. So if you're the type that likes modify and get more power out of your Stangs then they left the factory with this might be something to think about.

I thought the new gen was going to be 2014 1/2 for 50th anniversary.

A lighter turbocharged? Mustang could be fun and extremely fast as well - we'll have to wait and see.

Who knows what the 15 will be like! Buy now and never look back. I will be adding a 13 gt500 to my driveway late this year/early next year.

For what it is worth I work with a guy who's good friend is on the SVT engineering team and told him that they would be changing out the powertrain AGAIN on the gt500 next year. Take that with a grain of salt, but I trust the guy more than my sister.

Seems to be pretty different from what others who run SVT have said

My ford racing guy says no changes for 2014. I would imagine SVT invested a lot into the new 5.8 and to only make ~5-10K of them would be a loser.....

You might not be here tomorrow, so go for it now.

Waiting for the next model is always a slippery slope, as you tend to keep waiting for the next one.

I would get the 2013 if I was in a position to purchase a new toy right now. Having just bought a house I have other priorities first. I will be looking to by a lightly used 2013/2014 gt500 in 3-4 years. shouldn't be too hard, i found a great terminator last year and it was 8 years old.

2013 GT500 now, like I am because it might be the last of the old school power. I myself might consider a 2015 anniversary GT for track use or a vert for my wife....but that remains to be seen. Live your life now

That's exactly my problem, i was about to get the 2012 until i heard about the 2013. And here I'm after months of waiting still looking for one. This new GT500 seems to be a bit difficult to get. Thats why i thought of Mustang GT for now and GT500 later.

Just like most of you said i would get the 2013 but dealer is saying that i have to wait at least 5 months.:uh oh:
