Slightly better but not by much. IMO chevy missed the mark. Like others have said the old version looks much better. Also chevy doesnt like to make very many trucks with the 6.2L. That would be the only engine i want. The 5.3L is a dog these days.
LTZ and up are the only grades eligible, Used to be LT qualified also. I have had the 5.3/6 speed in two ext cab trucks with 3.42 gears and never been low on power. Both trucks have left coyote F150s for dead stoplight to stoplight
Must be driver error. Ive driven the 2016 with the 5.3. Not impressed its just slow. No low end grunt. The 2016 ford f150 with the 2.7 was much faster. Pretty sad to me when a little 2.7 can smoke a 5.3. Even at that i still felt the 3.5ecoboost felt much stronger under load.
I will say the 2016 with the 6.2 felt pretty damn good. Lots of low end grunt with easy power on tap like the ecoboost
I actually LOL when i read this. Fair enough. I could see some 5.0 getting beat. Like the 11-14s they were slow in the 5.0 even more so is they didnt have the 3.73sNow hold on.... i busted up some 5.0s, not the ecoboom trucks. I got skull****ed a couple of times by those and just started leaving them alone.

It was just a couple of us screwing around honestly. No big payouts
lol...oh boyGross.
Totally worth quoting a month later...lol...oh boy

Shouldn't be difficult to outdo the ecodiesel in power/efficiency/longevity.How does everyone think the i6 diesel will compare to the v6 diesel in the Ford and ram?
