305/35/18 nitto dr will it fit 9' rim?

like title says can i fit the nitto 305 on my 9' rim without losing the effectivness of it? ive had the 285 already and there just not that wide.


would it bulge to much or will it work? if anyone has pictures that would be awesome

Probably.

I know someone with 295 BFG DR's on 18x9" wheels, and BFG's normally run a good bit wider than Nitto's. They will probably have some bulge to them though.

Yes they will but the sidewall will roll over the wheel. It's probably the widest tire that I would ever consider putting on a 9" wheel. Yes they will work but you will sacrifice handling.

I had 305/35/18 nittos on 18x10" wheels... and they do bulge on 10's as well. Not as bad, but they still do. To be honest, they will be pretty nasty on 9s.

k i just know that my 285s dont bulge at all so i figured i could go up a size but maybe not

unless nitto changed something, I have seen 315's on 9" wheels and the BFG 315's on 9" wheels buldged more. the 315 nitto didn't look much wider than the stock wheels. nitto does run narrow as stated.

If nitto is using the same std. sizing as everyone else but coming up short they should have an chart on their site with acutal measurements. Other manufacturers do.

305 nittos are fine on a 9 inch rim.... biggest size you can go on a nine inch rim is nitto 555r 315. i have them on my car.

but 315 nitto 555r are small for 315......... mickey thompson 295 are wider then the nitto 315.
