I have a 2017. I have no complaints. This is the first pony forum i've been on. If I remember, M6G is another forum.

Engineers are designing vehicles nowadays. When i can run a 2000 Honda on the track all day but the weaker version of a brand new Ford Performance car can't... there is something completely wrong with that.

Your opinion of good customer service is skewed in a terrible way. Because YOU are not sitting in in an unfortunate position, its easy for you to look at it in a brighter light.

The GT350 tech can run all day on track just as a 2000 Honda can. Lap times on the Honda will be slower after 10 min just as your mustang is. I fail to see the difference. I'd be will to wager the pulled timing on the tech 350 will still be faster than the fastest lap in your 2000 Honda street car.

Thanks for your input. Glad you can contribute to the forum. I would venture to guess you own a 2016 Tech Pack, and have experienced the overheating?

Your argument is, or appears to be, that a Tech Pack car should be able to be tracked like a Track Pack car. If that's the case, would you purchase a gas Super Duty to pull a 25000# trailer, because you would expect it to pull like a diesel truck?

All of the personal insults are ridiculous and uncalled for. Sounds like you are upset, I suggest stepping back away from your keyboard before you get yourself banned in your first week of existence on this site.

And as far as my job is concerned, I'd say my job security is pretty safe. lol

Easy I've got a gas 250.

I hit limp mode on the street. Ford should have advertised the tech cars as capable of running 1 3/4 laps at the ring or 80% of most HPDE sessions. Then it would have been clear. Instead arrogant and uninformed dealers touted the track aspects of the car and charged huge ADM's.
I think @50 Deep was the only person I've seen reference it..but never seen proof.

Whichever dealer touted the track aspects of a Tech car, were uninformed.

I can't tell you how many conversations I had with people telling them if they planned any track time, to get the Track Package.

Where does 13COBRA work? I'd never buy a vehicle from someone with that attitude. Its repulsive.

I work very hard for my money. If i'm giving my money to someone, I demand quality. If you don't respect that, I'll get quality elsewhere. Its 2017 and you say shit like "it isn't the track version" ... thats a poor attitude coming from a poor manager who probably works out of a poor dealership. You think you would still have your job if someone important heard your sorry excuses or reasonings?

Where did Ford advertise the tech pack in this manner. I'd assume you have evidence.

I think it was a very poor choice to pull the coolers to give more "choice" when buying this car. Dealers spec'd these cars in Tech form by a clear majority. R models are pretty much made of unobtanium. So for many that were lucky enough to even get a chance to buy one the odds were pretty much stacked against them. In general terms, most would would probably agree that any model above the "track" optioned Mustang GT should probably not be invoking alternate PCM strategies due to heat related issues from aggressive (define at your own risk) driving.

Personally, I have zero interest in a performance Mustang model that has eliminated mechanical content for luxury, expecially if that content was essential to long component life when used in a performance demanding environment. I wanted Nav/8" screen (and added it later) but was not willing to give up necessary heat exchangers in order to get it.

The amount of track pack to tech cars...is probably pretty close to the same ratio as people who track their cars to those who dont.
