Stock clutch will be fine. It just might have to be replaced a bit sooner than if you were running milder mods. Choosing what mods fit together to get to 450 rwhp is a big list, but here is a general idea. These are all aftermarket mods of course.
1. Cold Air Intake (Streeda, Amazon Racing, etc.)
2. Catted X-pipe
3. Catback
4. Throttle body/Plenum (Accufab or BilletFlow)
5. 2.90/2.93 upper pulley (or a 4-6lb. lower pulley)
6. Chip (you DO NOT want to run lean at higher RPMs)

Like I said, you can mix a lot of mods to get to the level you're looking for. Fortunately (or unfortunately) it is too easy to produce 450 rwhp on these Cobras, and at a small investment of cash. Generally, though, you need at least a 2.90" pulley and a chip. Remember that different catback produce more or less power. The new Borla Stinger seems to be the best power producer right now. And then there are headers, Denso plugs, etc. to think about. Good luck.

Fakesnake is near that with stock boost. His mods are: Densecharger, Bassani Midlengths, X pipe, Catback.

yeah, its cool

go with the x pipe, cat back, and cai first... if you want more than get a pulley and chip. that will last for a little while until you save for a KB ;)

What we have been talking about here is peak power. What is hidden in the discussion is the massive amounts of off-peak power you get from the pulley and chip.

Where you might pick up 100rwhp at peak, you might pick up 150rwhp or more off-peak depending on your tuner. That is the true benefit of the pulley & chip.

How about a 100 shot nitrous kit..... You can be like the guys in TFATF and you might be able to hang with a "ricer". :)

Ok, so I'll say it too....

Pulley
Exhaust
Chip
CAI
Stickers ( At least 10hp per) A must have....

The headers work great,,They help me get more power with less boost and i can get repeatable #'s on dyno without long cool downs or useing ice..
My dyno numbers are real..Warmed up engine and no Ice..

Jim,

How do headers factor in with heat soak?

With decreasing cylinder pressure and getting more power with less boost..
I have run 118.84 and 119.21MPH in less then ideal track conditions..best was [email protected] on F1's.
I seen cars with more boost run faster to the 1/8 and then fall off in the 1/4,,That solidifys my conviction that with the Eaton(a 12lb blower at best) running more boost (15+)becomes counter productive.
Try back to back pulls with a 15lb boosted car...

Jim,

I know we're getting a little of topic here....

How many pounds does a 3" pulley add?

Doesn't even a stock motor suffer badly from heatsoak?
