'76 Lola VS Trans Am race cars

My buddy Chuck McConnell sent me a video, from this past November, of him running his '76 Lola Frisbee against a pack of badass Trans Am series race cars.

If you love Trans Am series cars... you will dig this video. It starts off a bit slow in the pits.... but, once he's on track.... daaaamn.

Chuck races Indy cars, and many other exotic race cars, and has been involved in pro racing for most of his life.

His '76 Lola Frisbee...

The engine is a 5 Liter Chevy V8 which puts out 560 BHP, and 600 ft pounds of torque

It really makes you see how advanced the Can Am cars were for their time, easily blowing through a field of fully race prepared Trans Am series cars. Some of those T/A cars are VERY well prepared, and are driven by pro drivers.

Very cool--and they sound great. He probably had 100+ more horsepower than the small block Fords. I was shocked he was able to pass the Tiger and GT350's......haha

I swear the rear tire on the lola is bigger then 3 shelby tires put together. Badass car with an awesome driver!
