The stock 03/04 Windage tray works great with the MMR pan.

Still trying to figure out the benefit of a "7 qt" pan on these engines when they hold almost 6 1/2 stock.

Correct, but these pans hold almost 9 qrts at the full line but it seems most manufacturers call them a 7 qrt

It would simply need to be cut out where the new oil pan resides, unfortunately we do not have instructions for that process. We would suggest installing the pan and then modifying the brace until it clears.
