Stipped the engine bay of everything and got it squeaky clean. I need to get that hole in the passengers fenderwell patched and the engine bay re-painted.

Also dropped the motor in temporarily, had to bust off the factory lower crank pulley and couldn't get it done on the engine stand.

Then lastly I also picked up the mint 1200 mile M122 Blower that my friend pulled off his 08 GT500, pretty much got it for free.

Im considering doing a swap with the cobra engineering kit but still undecided, any input?

Yes indeed. Its that damn hole in the fenderwell holding me up, im not going to put the car backtogether with it there and I just havent found the time to take it somewhere to get in done yet, once that holes patched itll be smooth sailing after that.

Im got a nice 16 day Christmas vacation so my goal is to definetly have it done by then and make some heavy progress then. I have the dash all finished up and am hoping to get that back in this weekend.

The anticipation must be killing you! Your ride is going to be sweet once you've finished, it's just getting finished around the everyday crap you have to do that's the pain in the rear. Really glad my wreck wound up in such good hands, and local too! You'll be tearing it up come spring. Continued good luck.

Quick Update,

Bought a few things on black friday including a Flex-a-lite rad and fan combo, Mcleod RXT clutch and flywheel and a Team Z autocross K member which should keep the build heading in a right direction.

Test fitting the rad

Front end all stripped clean, (except the rad).

Finally on the trailer and on the way to the body shop, getting the inner fender panel replaced and a little work to the engine bay, then repainted. Also the saleen wing, mirrors, and a fresh set of OEM tail lights being painted to match. It had some ricer tail lights when I bought it so I found two new ones. Should have it back in two week, then assembley process begins!

Finally time to go back together!

Back from paint, had the panel on the passenger fender well replaced, full engine bay repainted, also had the mirrors painted, a new oem set of tail lights to replace the stupid fast and furious ones that were on it, and my s281 wing. The mirrors and wing werent quite finished yet.

Just off the trailer and back inside, got caught in the rain sadly.

Ive got a bunch of engine pieces out get powdercoated and should have them back in a week or so, so once that happens the engine will go back together and get back in the car!

Car looks real good. Little advice, put some washers or spacers on the front of the clutch quadrant to keep it from sliding sideways. It will fray the cable over time and could leave you stranded. Dont ask how i know.

Yea, I was going to do that, I was surprised it didn't come with shims or anything to clean that up, there's a whole lot of slop there.

Yea there is a lot of slop for sure. I think my kit came with some shims but there wasn't enough, I had to add some. Im digging that K member, any problems with the install?

Some updates;

Decided to switch over to the 03 dash frame after not liking how the harness fit my 98 frame.

Got the rear speaker box harness swapped over to the correct one and the speaker box back in. Also got the wing mounted.

Got the mirrors painted as well and bolted back on, also got the hydroboost installed.

Got my dash all back together and made this bracket up so I can mount the 03 radio to my 98 dash.
