Do you know where the March damper is available? I can't seem to ever find it still in production/ for sale anywhere.

may not be sold separately....I have this as my alternate purchase

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/mch-1175/overview/

I believe it has the 1158-08 damper...didn't call summit yet.

This is from my NA HP wishlist notes:

March Damper 1158-08

4” alt pulley 116-08

speedhut?? also carries some smaller alt pullies if staying NA..and not a lot of electric required by you.

OK..so here are my rough guesses on what HP each mod might get you...

maybe na svt will make a guest appearance and fix my numbers again..hintity hint hint...

These are RWHP numbers

Base 4.6L with OEM cats (cams off degreed) (Base) ---> 0 / 260
CAI (K&N Filter) ---> 2/ 262

Base 4.6L with degree cams (New Base) ---> 16/ 278
MARCH UDP + damper---> 15/ 293
Hi Flow Cats/Cat Delete---> 8/ 301

LT/ML Headers---> 10 / 311
tune---> 15 / 326

Cams---> 30/ 356
tune--->7/ 363

SRI 10” + tune---> 7/ 370

These are just guestimates based on dynos I have gone over on the internet...much like my NA mod list where I gleaned all the na svt posts I could find.

The individual contributions of the headers/cam/SRI/tune is based on mainly na svt's abstracted comments in various threads....

I believe that Additional RWHP can be had from a 90mm plastic (lightning) MAF + 39# injectors + Aviator FP along with a tune...but more cubes are needed to get the most out of those mods....as with a stroker or BB-stroker.

Also per na svt ..C-heads can be reworked; "Mill heads and mill intake valve seats (open seat IDs to 90% of intake valve Op and 85% 85% of exhaust valve OD."....but again more cubes are needed to get the most out of those mods....as with a stroker or BB-stroker.

at that point your header diameter/size may be limiting you...and so it goes (vonnegut).

wow... i'm looking forward to tuning in a couple weeks then. if my car makes above 300 to the wheels i'll be super happy. i've been working on suspension and chassis to get it out of the way before i start tearing the engine apart to make more power, but i'm anxious to see what kind of power tuning can pull out of it. it's pretty amazing what playing with timing and leaning the A/F ratio out can pick up, but i have to keep it within reason because the odometer is reading roughly 100K.

i'm installing a PHP/SHM spacer under the intake hat, swapping in an accufab twin 60mm TB, then tuning it. i've only done a few other things... steeda underdrive pullies, JLT cold air and a mac LT/prochamber/2.5" catback, 3.73 gears and an aluminum driveshaft. as far as i know, the flywheel is stock, but i haven't separated the trans yet to find out for sure. i've owned 5 fox bodies and two of them were similar setups (i.g. chassis stiffened, lightened, suspension work but only light practical bolt-ons), and my current car definintely moves pretty well for what i imagine is around a 300RWHP NA car. the entire full tilt boogie kit replaced the junk stock setup IRS, and it just got the fresh gears and FRPP carrier not even 2K miles ago.

like i said, it's anyone's guess, but i'll be super happy to see numbers above 300. it smells like it's running pig rich on the stock tune, but that may just be due to the lack of cats. any thoughts on what to expect would be appreciated whether high or low. i'm trying to be as realistic as possible because this is my first mod engine car.
