I'm really sorry for you and your family's loss. Pets are truly a part of the family, no doubting that. I lost my German Shepard, "Nikki", 12 years ago, I haven't gotten another dog yet. It does get better with time, hang in there.

Sorry to hear that brother. Went through the same thing a few years ago with my 2 year old bloodhound (Georgia) . Tough stuff.
Edit: Didn't realize it already happened this morning. You absolutely made the right decision. Don't ever second guess yourself on that.
