yes, i noticed that in two or three separate instances. Look like the after effects of a lightning strike as if energy was jumping from the sky to the ground or vice versa

What I found interesting about that one was how many tests there were conducted by UK on American soil.

They were actually used to gauge wind direction to predict where the fallout would be. If the trails were blowing in unfavorable direction then the launch was postponed.
