battery light on and off

got a o3 cobra with 71k battery light comes on while driving, if I play with the throttle it will flicker and go off sometimes, also when I start the car up , mph and rpm gauge needles go all the way to redline then come back then the rpm gauge is normal, seems like its resetting, any help and answers will be greatly appreciated

Light means it's not holding a charge, my money's on the alt

I would agree the alternator is letting you know its time for a new one

im also getting a noise in the back of the engine or maybe throw out bearing, pretty loud, comes and goes, only after the car has been running for more than 5 minutes, the car runs awesome though.

alternator sir, eventually the battery light will stay on, meaning you're running solely off the battery. Then it'll start eating up the battery.
