I did with my 13 SuperBee. They were asking 48.5 but I got it for 46 including ttnl and it was on the lot like 45 days or something of that nature. When I bought my 12 5.0 I got it for 2k less than what the price was

2k less than sticker and 2k less than invoice is two different things. You basically just said you wanted a 45k car for 36k a 9k difference off sticker, which would be 5-6k off invoice price, never going to happen, shit... even when the s550 is an outgoing model you'd be luck to get much more than 3-4k off invoice.

Yea I didn't mean 36 I meant 38. Didn't catch that until now. That's my bad. I'm just trying to find a good deal and get an idea of what others paid for a fully loaded MT-82 5.0

My 2015 GT PP stickered for 45,885. Every option checked but the anniversary package. I got it for 42,900 which is x-plan pricing.

A premium GT with the 401A package, recaros, and PP is going to be about $42k sticker, give or take. The invoice is around $39k. Not much wiggle room there. I'd say $38k might be close, but most likely you'd have to give up the 301A or the recaros on it. There are still other options available too, but $38k isn't going to touch a FULLY optioned out premium.

Damn that's pretty good
Yep. I had to go out of state to get xplan as I ordered on May 20th. My dealers here in the ATL area would not do x-plan on May 20th. I have not seen any one get a better deal than x-plan. Maybe a handful got another few hundred off but that would be it. I was happy to save 3k on a brand new model car.

Thought about the regular seats and just swapping them out with the corbeau X1s. But then I wouldn't and couldn't really use the seat heaters. Hmm...

When I worked for a dealer I sold someone a 2013 GT who was eligible for both x-plan and the Costco discount and they actually paid slightly less with the Costco plan, so they went with that. They paid about $500 over invoice without having to haggle, still got all the incentives. It was a loaded vert. Stick was about $45,500. They paid around $40,800 iirc. Sometimes incentives are compatible with the Costco plan but not the x plan. That might be why it was less. The great thing about the Costco plan is all you need is to be a member, walk onto the lot and tell them you're a member, and that's that.

It's a pretty good deal. It's POSSIBLE to get even better than Costco pricing if you're a really good negotiator and they are desperate to sell, but they won't be with the brand new Mustang. Plus, like I said, $500 over invoice so the best you'll ever do is about $500 less. And again, in my experience, Costco is compatible with available rebates more often than x-plan, not that there will be any on a 2015 right now...

I too will be looking for 15 soon. I'm tired of the BS waiting to get a Hellcat built, so going back to a Mustang. I'll be looking for a base 300a, A6, but I'd like to find one with the 3.55 gears. This combo might be hard to find on the lot, so might have to do the gear myself. I'm not going thru the ordering ordeal again, so I need one on a lot. Put a blower on it and hunt cats.

Too much stupid to compute.

For one, X Plan is less than $500 over invoice.

For example, a GT Premium with a MSRP of $45,980 has an invoice of $42,942.12. The X-Plan price is $43,045.35. A measily $103.23 over invoice.

OP if you're serious, I just told you I would sell you one for invoice.

Also the CostCo discount brings the price down to about X-Plan, and shows the rebates off of it. So, X-Plan price of $43,045.35 and a $2,000 rebate....CostCo price of $41,045.35!! Woohoo!

Branhammer, no disrespect, but I would not let you sell vehicles for me.

I had gotten pricing from two local dealerships, one over the internet and one in person.

The first dealership told me (through e-mail) that he'd sell me a 2015 Mustang for $300 under Invoice (not Sticker) and then went into the dealership that is closer to our home and talked to the GM and he almost immediately told me that he'd beat it at $500 under invoice. Great pricing, if you ask me and even a bit better than X-Plan.

I almost did it, but thought that I'll wait until the newness wears off of the cars and see what bugs come up from being a new platform and a first year car.

Besides, I'm hoping two things come up for model year 2016....a 8-10 speed trans and performance pack on the automatic cars.

Hey I'm just going off of an actual sale that happened where I worked at the time. The managers would not give the customer the rebates with x-plan but they would with Costco. In the end they paid less. You can call my posts stupid all you want, but it happened.

X-plan at $103 over invoice, period vs. Costco at 500 over plus about $1500 in rebates. I don't know if that's how it still works, but it did that day.

That's crazy. I give all the rebates on X-Plan and A/Z Plan deals.

I always got kind of a shady feeling from my managers there. They made more money that way though now that I think about it. Factory rebates don't go against your profit, right? So essentially THEY were still making a few hundred more? Also, this was a couple years ago. Don't know if they still do it that way.

For the record, you got me. I was not a good salesman haha. To sell cars you have to do 3 things. Get them to love the car, get them to love you, and get them to love the price. I could always do the first two, but the only way I ever got the third one was by getting the managers to give the damn cars away. I typically sold 13-14 cars a month and barely made enough commissions to cover minimum wage for the 60-65 hours per week I put in. All my customers loved me though.....big help that was haha.

The rebates are the customer's, in my eyes. Some dealerships operate differently, but I think that's wrong. The manufacturer has the rebates available for the customers in order to help make the cars more affordable and competitively priced...NOT for dealerships to pocket an extra few grand.

The rebates do not go against any profit line; the only thing would be that if the dealership kept the rebates, then obviously it would increase profit.

I don't completely agree with you on the 3 things it takes to be a salesman. I think they should be more like:
1.) Be a product specialist, be able to answer a LARGE scope of possible questions at any given time on any vehicle line you sell
2.) Be polite, courteous and professional at all times
3.) Be able to present options for the customers to choose from in order to obtain financing/pay cash.

If you can do that, you can sell cars for me. If a salesperson is hung up on manipulation, lying, deceiving, etc etc etc....they will be terminated immediately.

I want all of my salespeople to treat customers like I'd want my mother treated if she walked in to buy a car.

We order all of our cars from Philip Weikert of Weikert Ford in Lake Wales, Fl. He's a good friend of mine and an excellent person to deal with when purchasing any new Ford vehicle. No BS and no haggling. When I order a car from him I don't even need to question price as I know he treats us right every time. Not only does he provide Lethal with all of our project cars but also helps lots of our international customers order cars to be shipped overseas.

If you want someone you can trust and not have to play the back and forth game with give Philip a call and tell him you're a friend of Lethal's and that's all you need.

Jared
