And lastly it was time to unmask. Holy crap! That 3M blue vinyl tape worked amazing. This is the same tape I used on my side stripes. But, I used 1/2 inch instead of 1/4 inch.

This stuff makes great curves and leaves VERY crisp lines. Can't wait to clear coat this tomorrow. :D :D :D .

I even ran the stripe down the back edge of the hood.

Spectacular Glen! Got me to thinking though, don't forget to add in your tape and plastic costs to the tally. Along with the paint, reducer and cleaning supplies, it must be considerable.

You SHOULD be very happy with how good the hood came out. Those lines are spectacular, Glenn. Can't wait to see the hood after the clear coat is done today. Great job!

Thank you all! I really appreciate your feedback. After all, you guys did contribute to making this design a reality. I was just going to paint the hood black again, but most of you convinced me to go this route. And I'm glad you did!!!

@kazman Thank you brother! And yes, I would definitely calculate my supplies in my build cost. I have a box of receipts. Every time I buy something or receive a package I throw the receipt in there. That box is packed FULL of receipts. I'm going to hate going through it one day to figure out my parts and supplies cost LOL.

I think I need to consider some of my tool costs too. I bought my compressor, air tools, welder, paint gun and some other items specifically for this build. I do use the compressor to put air in my wife's tires. So, I do use the tools for other things now. So, do you think I should calculate these items in this build cost???

@Grabber70Mach Thank you! Yes, I'm excited to spray the clear today. I need to wait until around lunch time to make sure it is warm enough to spray clear.

@CobraBob Thank you Bob! You always have very positive things to say and provide some great feedback. I appreciate you viewing my build and for always providing a comment. The thing I enjoy the most about this build thread is having discussions with you guys. So, thank you!!!

Woo HOO is all I can say. That clear coat came out kick @$$!

I love spraying clear, but I love it even more on a flat panel LMAO!!!

Working harder/longer yesterday paid off today.

What do you guys think???

I LOVE IT!!! That black already looks like a mirror. When this is cut and buffed it will definitely be a focal point when the hood is closed LOL.

Here are some overall shots....

Glenn, Glenn, come on in from the garage and rap with us. Take a break. LOL. I bet you're probably nearing the end of the clear coat.

Your timing is impeccable Bob. I just finished clearing the hood and got ready to post. Your post said it was posted 1 minute ago when I read it and got ready to upload my pictures lol.

So, I'm ready to "rap" now LMAO!!!!
