It was a good day here in KS. And I got the honor of shooting the photos, of ATI ProCharger ripping off a 10.87 with only 7.5psi of boost in a stock 2011 GT.

- Wheels and Tires
- Headers and Catback (Pypes)
- ProCharger i1 set on 7.5psi

More details here:
https://www.facebook.com/ProCharger

Check out the video of it pulling the wheels (twice) in first gear!

And the photo thats my new desktop!

Nice time, but I agree with an FI 5.0 being called bolt-ons.
It is what it is, a blown 5.0 running 10's, which is the norm for these cars. Unless of course the driver sucks.

You literally bolt it on. I don't see how this isn't a bolt on?
Can't tell if serious :??:

You literally bolt a motor in with 4 bolts.

So built motor cars with a blower going 8's can say "8 second bolt on car"?

LMFAO get out of here.....

Exactly. Boltons are generally considered the cheapest, and most simple of basic modifications. Intake, exhaust, TB, tune, etc. If you go around telling people its a "Bolt on" car with a blower strapped to it, they will think your a tool. Just saying.

Bad ass ride though. Picture is cool.

while I agree with the others, I guarantee that blower is bolted on there. I used to say the same thing to people when they asked me about mods on my previous cars, "just bolt-ons". It is a toolish thing to say.

Right, and not to mention those i1 prochargers (although bad ass) cost alot more than a standard unit! I think 2,000 to 2,500 more!

Seems like a legit bolt-on to me. Not bolt-ons would be stuff inside the motor like a stroker kit, forged internals, cams, headwork, etc. I guess that would be bolt-ins :D

Really? Something you put on in a day in the garage with hand tools isn't a bolt on?

Have I missed something in the last 10 years?

Maybe I am getting to old. But when you can buy a car off a dealership lot on a Friday night..... bolt something onto it in the garage the next day, and take it to the track that night.... I am going to say thats pretty dang easy, and its a bolt on.

Taking a motor apart, and having a machine shop do work, or having a turbo kit fabricated for weeks on end, THATS a little different.

But blowers to me, are and always will be "bolt on" LOL.

Heck my Dr. doesn't even know hardly how to change spark plugs, and he managed to "bolt on" a blower to his corvette... (no Joke)

I had to cut the exhaust out of my 03 to put my new catback on. So that's technically by the words standards less of a bolt on than a blower kit. Have you ever installed a supercharger? It's simply a bracket that bolts on with a belt wrapped around it and is significantly easier to "bolt on" than headers on a mod motor which are considered "bolts on" by this community. Tech has come a long way and this kit is literally "bolt on".

Lol for real. I understand you bolt a the supercharger on, but it's forced induction. Who calls a supercharger a bolt on?? Lmao

I do. :) LOL.

Id rather do 5 blower kits in my garage then a set of headers... Just saying.

Btw OP, that's a badass picture! How did you get them to do that??

When you spend the $$$$ to rent the track for a few hours, you kinda get the perks of doing what you want.

Only had them "prep" the right lane that day, so I could just turn around at the big end and drive back down the left lane, and back to the line. That way I didn't drag rocks from the pits all over the track. It worked out pretty well.

That doesn't make a supercharger any more of a bolt-on. People have the audacity to bitch about LSx guys and their "cam only" claims but us calling a supercharger a bolt-on is perfectly fine. :nonono:

Nitrous, a turbo and/or supercharger is NOT a bolt-on, regardless of how painless the install process is. It's a power adder/forced induction and should be referred to as such. :bash:

Edit: Something tells me you wouldn't be so cool about this if a "bolt-on" C6 Z06 destroyed you for money.
