I know its another Boss intake thread but i need to know before i get tuned. Do you guys think its worth getting it the manifold? If i do get it should i go with the stock air box or aftermarket? Would my JLT intake fit with the manifold? Also do i NEED a install kit? Ive heard i don't need it.

Thanks

It's only worth it if you are willing to shift around 7500 rpm when racing. Your JLT I take should work. And the only install kit you need is from late model restoration which is like 10 bucks.

JLT intake should work with the stock coupler, just need to have some patience and finesse to make it all work correctly. If you don't have either of those things, then JLT sells a coupler to help:

Silicone Coupler 3.5 ID (BOSS Manifold) [P-SH3525] - $18.00 : JLT PERFORMANCE, Home of the JLT TRUE COLD AIR KIT

Also the only thing you really need for install of the mani is this:

Mustang Boss 302 Intake Installation Kit (11-14) GT 5.0L

Everyone has an opinion, but for those who have the manifold and speak of their experience I think you will see most think its a worthwhile mod for its price.

Get it! I can tell my car pulls harder above 5Krpms and instead of the power falling off @6500, it just keeps pulling all the way to 7500. Plus it just looks great. Get the $10 install kit from Latemodelresto.com and the manifold from American Muscle(get the code from them and get a 6% discount).

I cant wait to get mine tuned this weekend for E85.

You took the words right out of my mouth, sir... My sentiment--exactly!

OP, go for it and get the BOSS 302 manifold, as you won't be disappointed...
