My Wife has a 2010 Ford Escape. When you depress the brake pedal, you can hear a hissing noise while the pedal returns to normal position. Or when you turn the car off for a few seconds. I pretty much assume it the Brake booster with a leak in the diaphragm. Correct?
Is it a pain in the ass to do yourself with minimal tools? Or take it to the Dealer? Also should I let her drive it while I save the bread to get it fixed? The leak seems very small. Can driving it like that for a few weeks going to create more damage?
