Building a motorcycle. Take a look

Long story short, I had a 2002 GSXR600 engine laying around from a dune buggy I was building back in high school and wanted to use it in something.

Bought a 1975 CB750 and parted it out, leaving just the frame, which I hacked up a bit.

From there I bought a GSXR front end and swingarm to mate up to a Harley nightrain rear wheel.

Purchased a 21" front wheel from a moped in china and created spacers and found a brake rotor that would fit.

Created some laser cut components to mount up the seat and rear shock, along with other various components.

A buddy had the tank laying around, so I took that to see if I could make it work and ended up cutting out a slot for the air filters which I 3D printed some velocity stacks for the center two to clear the frame tube.

It's been a 4 year project so far, but really have been working on it mainly since July 2014 when I got a home and a garage to work in.

It's still a work in progress and I have the cooling system and electrical system to hook up still and then it should be pretty close.

Duuuude, that is a wicked ****ing barhopper. Are you going to do a little fender just behind the seat to save your ass if you slip back from having 120hp lol?

Which July did you start working on it? Not 2015.

That's awesome looking!

ha that last photo was July of 2014. I started the project a couple years ago.. parting out the original bike etc. But didn't have anywhere to work on it until July of 2014 when I bought my house. Thanks!

Didn't see I had "2015" on there. It's been updated

Very creative, I like it!
Have you completely cycled the front suspension yet? Looks like the front tire might come into contact with that radiator/cooler if you ran over a large enough pothole.

The radiator has some room to bend back a bit, which I may have to do after everything is complete. I want to get it all together and running before making any big changes to it. May have to add a larger radiator if it can't cool the engine anyways, but fingers crossed that it'll do. It's been a fun project!!

Im envious of your vision and skill to make this a reality. This is gonna be really cool. You need a shorty "GP" style titanium exhaust just peeking up from the bottom of the bike. I wish you had a liter bike motor laying around vs the 600, that would be downright scary! Im not sure how it would turn out but doing the GSXR trademark blu/white theme could be pretty sweet.

Yeah, that's the type of exhaust I'll probably be looking for when I get to that point. I'm hoping I can find something small that will sound somewhat different from all the other sportbikes out there (not that I don't like that sound, just to keep it different). And I'll keep it pretty much raw for this summer and then next winter I'll probably tear it down and paint it.. not real sure if i'll be going with colors or just keeping it somewhat rat-y. Thanks!

Looks cool, but a nightmare to get replacement parts for.
that's the best part about it.. I don't need any specific replacement parts... I can make anything work, or just universal stuff.

Is the laser cutter a home machine? Can you recommend a brand or anything?
I'm a design engineer so I draw/model up all my stuff and then my step dad works at a laser/sheet metal shop, so he just cuts out all those components. The small design firm I work for has the 3d printer, so I use that when I can.

Thanks everyone! Didn't know what kind of reactions I would get.... but the positive comments coming from this community that I've been a part of for so many years is a huge honor! Much appreciated and I will definitely keep you all posted!!

Completely original. And you have the ultimate satisfaction of doing it yourself

Make sure to paint you own name on the tank. So when people ask you what it is you can point to the name and say "ME"
